As a multi national software company Microsoft is a allied related operating model. This is because they own various things but all the products which they make are all electronic goods, for example they make the Xbox 360, a selection of Smartphone and computers.

Different sections of Microsoft
Microsoft Office – This is the section of Microsoft that produces the computer programmes such as Word, Publisher, Powerpoint, Access, Excel, Outlook and Sharepoint.
Microsoft Gaming – This section of Microsoft created the xbox and xbox 360 and various games for these consoles such as the infamous Gears of War trilogy which is soon to be added with a fourth and the Halo franchise which has produces games such as the 4 main Halo games and Halo reach, Halo ODST and Halo Wars.
Windows 7 – This is the section of Windows which is used on computers, it is an advanced operating system which is made for personal computers, laptops and tablets.

Apple – A multi national company that specializes in electronic goods. It designs, develops and sells electronic consumer goods such as the Apple Macintosh computer, Ipod and the Iphone. The company was founded on April 1st, 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne.
Oracle Corporation – A multi national computer technology corporate that specializes in developing and marketing computer hardware systems and product hardware. Oracle Corp is the third highest software maker behind Microsoft and IBM. The company was founded on June 16th, 1977 by Larry Ellison, Bob Miner and Ed Oats.
Google Inc – is a corporation that develops internet based technology, this ranges from internet search to cloud computing. It also produces software advertising technologies. Google Inc was founded on September 4th, 1998 by Larry Page, Sergey Brin.
