A very exciting week for Mr Martin and Mrs Jenkins in particular as they opened their new doors to children for the first time! Do come to the
official opening and support the concerts we have planned next week. We have invited some fantastic professional musicians on Thursday and
Friday evening and it would be lovely to have a full Henderson Hall for
both events. Do contact Mags on [email protected] if you would like to come.
Your children have been fabulous this week and it is lovely to watch Year 3 settle excitedly into their new routines and Reception taking those
first tentative steps into full time school. They all have plenty to look
forward to this year and I hope that they make the most of the many opportunities coming their way; I am sure that they will!
Welcome back to a new term! We are all very excited and are looking forward to welcoming our Speech and Drama family back to the new
Performing Arts block. The official opening will take place on Thursday 13th September at 6.30pm. Everybody is welcome. Drinks and canapés will be
available. Henry Kennedy (Old boy of Moor Park) and Susie Allan (Mum at
Moor Park) will give a concert on Clarinet and Piano after the opening. Tickets for the concert (£10) are available from the school office. Please do
come along to support
Year 1 Taster Days
If any Year 1 parents or indeed any other parent would like to register their
child for a free taster day in Speech and Drama, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Jenkins on [email protected]. If you would like to hear
more about Speech and Drama or would like to look around the new block, please contact Mrs Jenkins for an appointment.
Folders
Please remember to issue your child with a folder to keep their work safe
Examinations
Exams this term will be on Monday 19 November. These will be primarily for Pre-Prep and middle school.
Martine Dunn
The department welcomes a new Speech and Drama teacher- Ms. Martine Dunn. Martine will know many of the children as she used to be their
examiner! With these credentials, you can be assured your children will be in a safe pair of hands. Martine will be teaching Years 6 and 7 and then the
children will return to Mrs Jenkins in Year 8 for exams and scholarships.
