Area Stage Conservatory Summer Session is Miami's most exciting performing arts program. Serving 180 enrolled students. ages 6 - 22. Miami Herald's Cristine Dolen has referred to the program as a "the highly regarded Conservatory." ASC provides excellent training and performance experience to young performers. Scholarships available to children from under-served communities or with special needs.
The summer intensive program has been designed to provide serious students ages 10 to 22 with a complete dance-training program. Levels of study available; Preparatory, Intermediate, and Advanced . The curriculum includes a complete dance-training program for both male and female students who will be able to receive a unique approach to authentic, traditional Russian ballet training.
ArtSouth's Creative Arts Summer Camp provides youth ages 6-15 with a multi-disciplinary summer arts program in Homestead. Campers will attend a full day of enrichment, Monday through Friday 9am-4pm, during 4 eight-week sessions at Miami Dade College, Homestead. Campers work under the professional guidance of local artists and teachers in the fields of visual arts, dance, music and performance.
Pricing: $25.00 Registration Fee, $75.00 per week tuition (scholarships available)
Barry University’s Summer Science Research Program offers free, high quality, hands-on science research to youth ages 15-17, from underserved communities. The program provides experiential learning opportunities to students in a safe, stimulating daylong program. The experience builds students’ confidence in their abilities, and inspires them to pursue their dreams of higher education.
Pricing: There is no cost for the general public to participate in this program.
Arts & Academics for Excellence Youth Summer Program
Arts & Academics for Excellence Youth Summer Program is specifically designed for youth ages 5-17 who are interested in the performing arts.We offer classes in dance dance, musical theater, choreography, fashion, digital media, vocal tech and personal development. This 7-week camp gives children a full day of interactive activities in the arts and the most fun-filled summer experience ever!
The 2016 Art-in-Action summer camp will be from June 20 to July 15, 2016 at Everglades Community Association in Florida City. Program activities include field trips, public performances showcasing the students and two art workshops for parents. Participants will engage in the Arts and they will learn musical theater, drama, dance, video production, creative writing, visual and culinary arts.
Summer Film Camp for ages 13 –18 will be held from June 13 to July 21, 2016. FFI will give students the opportunity to focus on essential and practical aspects of commercial motion picture production, including script preparation, cinematography, lighting, sound recording, directing, acting and music. The program features instruction by film Industry professionals.
Miami PREP in the College of Engineering and Computing at FIU provides an enhanced academic and summer Arts and Science program to Rising 3nd - 12th graders to prepare them for a college career in one of the STEM fields; Opportunity that uses instructional, team-work, hands-on activities to demonstrate theories, principles, issues, challenges and applications inherent within the STEM disciplines
All Greater Miami Youth Symphony Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced music camps provide a daily full-immersion music experience for students of every level ages 5-18. Participants spend each day developing their musical and instrumental abilities while learning important life skills by making music in groups such as teamwork, self-expression, and discipline.
LAB Summer Intensive is a free specialized pre-college program that guides students through the creative and professional aspects of creating a large-scale collaborative art exhibition. Students plan and execute every aspect of the exhibition, and meet Miami’s creative minds along the way. This art career incubator is offered by Locust Projects, Miami’s longest-running experimental art space.
Summer by the Sea Camp enables youth ages 10-12 to explore Bear Cut Preserve via land and sea, acquire hands on art and science skills, and protect our natural environment. Scholarships make it possible for campers from under-served communities to experience nature first-hand, enrich their lives through creative arts, learn swimming and water sports, reduce stress, and improve health.
Miami City Ballet School Summer Dance Camp offers a 5-week, intensive and immersive dance training program for young people ages 11-19 from June 20-July 22, 2016. Students are selected through an audition process and receive advanced training in ballet, wellness and personal development. The Camp culminates with 3 community performances to celebrate the students’ achievements.
MDP Summer Dance Camp is designed for students ages 6-18, including children with autism, who come from all over Miami-Dade County. Student will participate in the performing arts by developing ballet, jazz, and modern dance skills. Children with autism participate in Autism Movement Therapy to improve cognitive thinking, motor, and social skills
Pricing: Registration Fee $80; $100 to $120 weekly (scholarships available)
Ages 6–18. At Miami Music Project Summer Music Camp children of all skill levels learn to play a musical instrument while developing their leadership skills. Beginning, intermediate and advanced music instruction available. The camp serves as a summer bridge to help ensure that orchestral students continue to grow in their performance abilities and develop socially through the summer months.
Miami Childrens Theater offers one of the top performing arts summer camps in South Florida. Miami Childrens Theater's Creative Camps is for students ages 5 to 12 - a great way to have your child introduced to theater. Creative Camps is offered at two locations - the Coral Gables Youth Center and the Alper JCC in Kendall. Broadway Bound is our camp for teenagers and is held at the Alper JCC also.
Pricing: $800 for Broadway Bound, S1,100 for Creative Camps (scholarships available)
Miami Theater Center' Musical Theater Summer Camp activities for ages 6-16 are led by MTC's teaching artists who will provide theater activities intended to spark campers' creativity and artistic expression while also increasing their self confidence and esteem, strengthening communications and team building skills. Camp sessions end with a unique camp show created by campers on MTC's main stage.

2016 MOCA Summer Camps for Creative Arts and Dynamic Design
Creative Arts for Kids ages 6- to 12; 9 AM – 3:30 PM. Monday-Friday with aftercare to 5:30 Students experiment with a variety of techniques in a creative environment.
Dynamic Design Camp is a new mission for MOCA for students ages 11 to 13 . No other museum in South Florida has offered a summer camp solely devoted to the art of practical design. This presents possible future career choices.

Musicall Conservatory (Orchestras and Prep Classes)
Musicall Orchestra Program offers full string orchestras, music theory and concerts to students 5 to 18 years old while the Prep Classes program provides instruction on a wide variety of musical instruments. The vast experience and prestige of our teachers/musicians reinforces that students from all backgrounds will have the skills to succeed in whatever their future holds.
Pricing: $200 per semester or $350 school year (scholarships available)
The PATH Hip Hop Summer Academy is open to youth who have a strong interest in the Hip Hop elements (DJ, MC/Spoken Word, Bboy/Bgirl and Urban Art). Youth learn art, technical, leadership and interpersonal skills from professional artists. Participants connect with a community of caring adults and talented peers who are using their talents in the interest of the common good. Cost: $305 for 5 weeks
AileyCamp Miami is for youth, ages 11-14, enrolled in Miami-Dade County public middle schools. No formal dance training is required. The program's goal is to provide campers with an arts experience they might otherwise not have and to foster personal development through dance. Applications, available at schools and arshtcenter.org, are due in March; one-on-one interviews required for selection.
Summer Music Camp for Youth and Students ages 7-18
Intensive music class lessons, and band and orchestral training for students in Music for the summer months of June 20th through July 15th, at two locations. 1st grade through 7th at Miami Dade college North Campus Pawley Creative Arts Center... and 8th through 12th grade at Doral Academy .
Pricing: $350 per student, sibling discount of $50 (scholarships available)
Prometeitos Summer Theatre Camp at the Koubek Center is the summer theatre arts camp dedicated to providing a well-rounded creative experience in Spanish for children ages 6-12, by offering classes and workshops with various master instructors in Acting, Singing, Dance, Writing, Arts and Crafts that culminate in a wonderful Spanish stage performance.
The Alper JCC Habimah Performing Arts Camp is specially designed for youth ages 8 - 13, who have little or no formal dance training, come from underserved communities, and may be experiencing personal challenges. The goal of the camp is to provide these students with a performing arts experience they might otherwise not have, and to develop character building skills and improve self confidence.
Pricing: Non-member cost: $2,515; Member cost: $1,990 (scholarships available)
Children will take an artistic journey through a cultural exploration of near and far destinations. A fun and exciting opportunity to spend the summer at the Miami Children's Museum. Activities include all sorts of art, dance, music and theatrical performances as well as field trips and water play.
Pricing: $220 Non-members, $198 Members (scholarships available)
The Edge's TEAM (Tech Education, Arts & Music) Summer Camp
Campers ages 7-15 will rotate between daily stations of Arts & Science, Outdoor Recreation and Team Time. Youth will learn to see the world around them in new ways. Each week’s activities revolve around a new central theme that features fun and engaging art, music and science activities to get kids thinking creatively and curious to discover the world around them.
TAYB delivers classes in ballet, modern and tap for youth ages 3-18, depending on the site and students' ability, with or without formal dance training. The 2016 Summer Program will have multiple sessions from from June 13- August 24. Please contact staff for days/times and pricing. TAYB is an inclusive program, mainstreaming children with disabilities. The summer programs are not all day camps.
Pricing: 4 Outreach sites: no fees except a one-time $10 commitment fee. South Miami site: fees range from $75 - $1,600 for 1-10 week program, which is dependent upon student's skill level and age. (scholarships available)
Film Arts Culture Coding Entrepreneurship (FACE) Camp
Film Arts Culture Coding Entrepreneurship (FACE) Camp sparks interest in the creative arts led by industry professionals in film, photography, visual arts, drama and technology. The culmination of learning, i.e. camper projects, are presented by Campers at the FACE Community Expo. The half day camp is designed for girls ages 6-13 (3:00-6:00pm) and teens ages 15-17 (8:00am-12:00pm).
Pricing: $35 Registration Per Child; $218 Weekly Fee (scholarships available)
