June 10-August 13 at the MIracle Theatre in Coral Gables
For ages 7-18. Camp activities include music, dance, monologue development, performance, design and art. Participants engage in musical theatre training and performance. Students learn acting techniques that will also develop communication skills.
June 10-August 11 at the Area Stage Conservatory in Coral Gables
The Area Stage Conservatory Summer Program offers talented and meritorious students the opportunity to partake in intensive performing arts training while achieving an enriching and enlightening experience in the classroom, rehearsal room, and on the stage in front of an audience.
Pricing: Stage I and II (5 to 1 5yrs old): $750. Stage III (14 to 18 yrs old): $850
June 17- August 9 at ArtSouth in Homestead/Florida City
ArtSouth's Creative Arts Summer Camp provides youth ages 7-15 with a multi-disciplinary arts camp in the underserved Homestead/ Florida City community; extreme South Dade. Due to economic circumstances, many of these children would not otherwise have the opportunity to attend summer camp in a full-service art center under the professional guidance of local artists and professionals in the field.
June 10-28 at the Barry University main campus in Miami Shores
Barry University's longstanding Summer Science Research Program (SSRP) invites 24 local, at-risk students, ages 15-17, to the university's main campus in Miami Shores for three weeks of hands-on science research and college life engagement activities. The SSRP affords students authentic research-rich experiences which lay the groundwork for future science careers.
June 17-July 26 at Everglades Community Association in Florida City
The students in the Art-in-Action Summer Camp will engage in two large community building activities, 5 arts exploration classes, and a 30 minute personal journaling period. Students will also enjoy lunch, dance parties, scavenger hunts, teacher performances, after camp social events, art field trips and share art workshops with their parents. Students ages are from 11 to 18 years old.
Pricing: Tuition free, donation to help cover transportation.
June 17-August 9 at the Experience Aviation Learning Center in Opa-Locka
The Experience Aviation 2013 STEM Summer Academy is designed for youth ages 6-17 who have an interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (S.T.E.M.) or Aviation and Aerospace. Students will learn aerodynamics, robotics, rocketry, green technology and will also "Learn to fly" through the use of flight simulators.
GMYS Summer Music Camp provides music training and instruction for youth ages 5-18 at all musical and instrumental skills levels. Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced sessions are available and scholarships are provided so that no child is turned away for financial reasons. Students immerse themselves in a variety of musical activities developing their instrumental, musical, and ensemble skills.
July 3-August 16 at HistoryMiami in downtown Miami
The Teen Miami Summer Institute is designed for youth ages 13-17 who are interested in exploring their communities through the lens of a camera. The program will engage students in museum work, photojournalism and historic preservation. Students will explore parts of Miami they may never have seen, and create an exhibition of their work at HistoryMiami.
June 10-August 16 at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Biscayne Nature Center in Crandon Park on Key Biscayne
The camp provides underserved, at-risk, low-income 8-12 year olds with a dynamic environmental education science and art camp that introduces them to the wilds of Key Biscayne’s Bear Cut Preserve. Campers learn to swim and snorkel in the ocean, create art, and learn about the varied natural environments of Seagrass, mangroves, and wooded hammocks that are only miles and minutes from their homes.
Pricing: $350/week/camper, $295 by April 15, 10% discount for additional siblings
Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) Summer Science Camp
June 10-July 5 at the Miami Dade College North Campus in Miami / Opa Locka
The CSI camp at Miami Dade College North Campus is specifically designed for youth ages 14-17 who may be interested in pursuing careers in scientific fields. The goal of the program is to provide participants with scientific experiences foster personal development in the scientific arena using instrumentation and critical thinking as a vehicle of development.
Pricing: $35 application fee; $300 for 4 week program
June 10-August 16 at the Miami Dance Project in Kendall
MDP Summer Dance Camp is designed for students ages 6-18, including children with autism, and come from low-income households from all over Miami-Dade County. Students will participate in the performing arts by developing ballet, jazz, and modern dance skills. Children with autism will participate in autism movement therapy to improve cognitive thinking, social and motor skills.
Miami Light Project 2013 Summer Camp: PATH Hip Hop Camp
June 24-July 19 at The Light Box at Goldman Warehouse
Miami Light Project 2013 Summer Camp, PATH Hip Hop Camp, is designed for youth ages 13-18 who are residents from Miami-Dade County. The goal of the program is to provide students with hands-on experiences that give them technical skills to create their own artwork based on the four elements of Hip Hop: DJing (Mixing Music), Emceeing (Rapping), Hip Hop Dance, and Graffiti (Urban Art).
June 10-August 2 at the Coral Gables Youth Center, Byron Carlyle Theater on Miami Beach, and the Alper JCC in Kendall
Miami Childrens Theater has a great performing arts summer camps for kids ages 5 to 18. MCT has two camps - Creative Camps for campers 5 to 12 and Broadway Bound for campers 13 to 18. Our camps are special because each four week session ends in a full blown main stage show complete with lights. costumes and sets.
Pricing: $850 per four week session with a $35 registration fee.
Musical Theatre Summer Camp in Miami Shores is designed for all children 6-12 years old; no theatre training required. Teaching-artists lead campers in acting, music, dancing, theatre games, art projects, costume days, and creation of a unique theatre production. Campers learn arts awareness, increase artistic proficiency and improve peer relations.
June 10-August 16 at the Woman's Park in West Miami
The Girls Empowerment and Mentoring (G.E.M.) is a visual and performing arts camp for girls ages, 11-16 at Women's Park in southwest Miami-Dade County. The camp includes classes in dance, theater, drawing, literary arts, guest speakers and field trips. Participants will forester personal development using the arts as a vehicle for self-esteem and empowerement.
MOCA Art Institute Summer Creative Arts Program & Teen Summer Programs
June 10-August 16 and June 17-August 16 at the Museum of Contemporary Art in North Miami
The all day 10-week MOCA Art Institute Creative Arts Summer Program (ages 6 – 12) is scheduled June 10 - August 16, 2013 and the intensive 9-week summer programs for teens age 13 - 17, is as follows: Summer Journalism (June 17 – July 5, 2013), Photojournalism (July 8 – 26, 2013), and Summer Studio (July 22 – August 16, 2013).
Pricing:
Weekly tuition: $200 – MOCA Non-member, $150 MOCA member, North Miami residents/NM City employee, $112 – 2nd child in family.
June 18-August 10 at the Miami Science Museum in Coconut Grove
Miami Science Museum's award-winning Summer Science Camp for children aged 4-14 at the Museum's main facility in Coconut Grove. One-week classes ranging from astronomy through zoology will be offered using interactive and fun approaches. The goal is to help campers understand scientific principles in an exciting, hands-on environment.
Pricing: $210-$280 per week depending on the class.

AileyCamp Miami is for Miami-Dade County Public Schools students ages 11-14 who have no formal dance training. Most campers come from underserved communities and may be experiencing personal challenges. The program's goal is to provide campers with a performing arts experience they might not otherwise have, and to foster personal development using dance as a vehicle for self-improvement.
June 11-August 16 at the Coral Gables Museum in Coral Gables
City Trekker Summer Camp at the Coral Gables Museum offers 10 weeks of fun, educational activities for children ages 5-12. City Trekker Summer Camp explores the City of Coral Gables through a variety of disciplines and takes advantage of all the cultural destinations and activities that The City Beautiful and the Museum have to offer. Through exhibits, special presentations, art activities and fieldtrips campers will learn about art, architecture, design, history and more! The Coral Gables Museum provides quality experiences and summer learning opportunities to all children regardless of economic or personal challenges they may be facing.

Family Members: $400 per session (2 weeks) /Non Members: $450 per session (2 weeks)
The Alper JCC Habimah Performing Arts Camp is specifically designed for youth ages 8-13 who have little or no formal dance training, come from underserved communities, and may be experiencing personal challenges. The goal of the program is to provide these students with a performing arts experience they might otherwise not have, and to develop character-building skills and improve self confidence.
Pricing: Average cost per participant is $2,210 for eight weeks $275 registration
July 10- August 30 at the Miami Children's Museum on Watson Island
Miami Children's Museum Creative Island Camp consists of 12, one-week sessions. Participants engage in activities such as theater, cooking, art and music. In addition, students participate in activities that focus on creativity, self-expression, self-esteem, teamwork, leadership, communication skills, literacy and positive expression.
June 10 - August 2 at R. R. Moton Elementary School in West Perrine
Summer Music Institute (SMI) is an 8-week summer camp for children/youth between the ages of 6-17, who have no formal music/vocal training, come from under served communities in South Miami-Dade County and may be experiencing personal challenges. Our goal is to use the discipline, joy and rewards of music to transform the lives of these students, using music/performance as a vehicle.
June 10-August 2/16 at the Thomas Armour Youth Ballet (5 locations)
TAYB delivers classes in ballet, modern and tap for youth ages 3-18, depending on the site, with or without formal dance training. The 2013 Summer Program will run from June 10- August 2 (8 weeks). TAYB strives to mainstream children with disabilities into their programs. The summer programs are not all day camps.
Pricing:
4 Outreach sites: no fees except a one-time $10 commitment fee. South Miami site: fees range from $75 - $1,500 for 5-8 week program, which is dependent upon student's skill level and age.
June 17-July 26 at the Homestead Family Y in Homestead
The YMCA will offer a fun filled Jr. Marine Biology Camp to youth ages 7-12 from Homestead and surrounding communities in the summer of 2013. Youth will learn about Marine Biology, snorkeling, and experience fun with their friends in our rich aquatic environment. Space is limited to the first 60 youth. The Y is for Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility.
