Mayo Star StudentEach teacher selected a best all-around student based on academics, achievement, citizenship and participation/cooperation in class. The students will receive a certificate, a pencil, and a star pin.
SAT Wall of Fame ClubStudents who score 1100 or higher in one sitting for critical reading and math will be recognized and their names will be placed on the SAT Wall located in the main building.
ACT ClubStudents who score 24 or higher will be recognized and their names will be placed on the ACT Wall to be located in the main building.
The Renaissance National Goals
Schools are facing many challenges today. Sometimes the true purpose of education gets lost in the struggle to provide the best education possible.
As a result of Renaissance, schools have become unified around several common educational goals. These goals include: Increased student attendance Improved overall academic performance, i.e., test scores, GPA Increased graduation rates Creating a positive and safe school environment
Academic Banquet Eligibility
To be invited to the Annual Academic Banquet held in the spring, Upperclassmen with CP Level courses must make the honor roll 3 out of 4 nine weeks. Upperclassmen with three or more Honors and/ or AP courses must make the honor roll 2 out of 4 nine weeks. Freshmen and new students must make the honor roll 2 out of 3 nine weeks.
