With global awareness as the focus, mG20 in Action challenges students to dig deeper into vital current issues. Discovering solutions to real-world problems requires students to approach issues from every angle, take a stand, and advocate for the solution that works best. Along the way, they acquire practical experiences that increase their leadership capacity, enhance their problem-solving ability, and develop their understanding of diverse viewpoints, cultures, and identities.

Our world needs to nurture the next generation of leaders. The problems that our globe faces today can only be navigated by those who are trained to lead with compassion, competence, and the ability to create solutions that benefit all concerned. The skills of communication, negotiation, and consensus-building are necessary for future leaders to not only know, but to be able to put into practice.

At Knovva Academy, our passion is developing students into leaders by giving them the opportunity to learn and practice these skills. Through mG20 in Action, we are able to reach all students who want to hone their communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills in the familiarity of their own school. Through researched and proven mini-lessons and engaging intellectual activities, mG20 in Action students learn to apply a global perspective to local issues . Further, they are able to develop, attain, and practice leadership skills that will serve them throughout their lives.

Activity Cycle

Students build their understanding of the world as they work through real-world scenarios. By exploring diplomacy, global understanding, collaboration, and leadership in a unique and engaging way, these skills become an integral part of students’ daily lives.

Highly interactive workshops give students the space to develop their leadership capacity, enhance their problem-solving ability, and build 21st-century skills.

impACT: Global Priorities is a two-week immersive role-play simulation. During this first week, students explore hypothetical scenarios that feature complex and highly relevant real-world problems.

Students take a deep dive into current issues and share their opinions through Knovva Academy’s international, online community. There, students experience, present, and discuss diverse perspectives with clubs members worldwide.

Calling on the skills developed in Week 1 workshops, students are immersed in role-playing simulations that rely on Week 2 knowledge. They must take a stance on an issue, develop a persuasive strategy, and write and deliver a speech to a Deciding Committee of their peers.

Students who are ready to test their skills in the international arena can take advantage of our global summits that draw the best students from over 20 countries in multi-day experiences. Challenge your students to elevate their learning to a global level.

Model G20 Summits Join students from around the world as they come together to address pressing global issues. Through multi-day simulations in vibrant international hubs, Model G20 Summits challenge learners to rise to the roles of national leaders who must negotiate outcomes that represent the best interests of their own nations and others.

Model G20 Task Force This advanced program selects only the highest-performing students from our Model G20 Summits and invites them to attend the actual Y20 Summit, the youth arm of the G20. Participants engage with youth delegates from around the world, develop policy solutions that directly impact global youth, and present them to international leaders and changemakers.
