FAMILY

The Mexican American family is one that is full of tradition and history. They have deep rooted cultural standards that have been around for centuries, and though they have had to recently adapt some of their values to the American society, they have mainly stayed intact.

That being said, below is a short presentation depicting some of the cultural values and standards that come with the traditional Mexican American family.

FUTBOLBaseball, American football, or hockey may be one of your top sports to watch or play, but down in Mexico, futbol (soccer) is the most popular sport to be watched or played. Futbol has a huge history not just because it was a rocky start, but because it was a rocky start that created an amazing team. Futbol to them isn't just a sport… It’s a lifestyle.

MUSICMusic for some reason it always gets to you; Whether you are in a terrible mood and everything said during the song you understand, or when you are in a dancing mood and you are just there to feel the music run through you veins.

In the Mexican culture music is another important feature to their culture. In the Mexican Culture their music generally is all traditional music that has came from a lot of the history that has happened their.

Most of the music hasn't changed that is still around from the past, generally the music only changed a tad bit but was kept alive with tradition.

A lot of the music is also combined with the many people traveling there or settling their to live their lives.

DANCE

I am all sure we all love to dance whether it is behind doors or while we are doing daily chores, or even in your car. But the Mexican culture had a larger love towards their dancing. Dancing to them was very important and was taught at all ages. They even danced for their god, mother nature, and when they were going to be planting their crops.

FOOD

We all love our fast food Taco bell runs! Well try and cook some REAL Mexican food, and you will be shocked to find out that, those tacos you have been eating really aren't the best tacos you've had. Well in general you will find out that when you cook authentic Mexican food that it is way better than any fast food restaurant.

With Mexican food it is full of history just like the music and dance is. Mexican food goes way, way, way back to a different type of day like when you couldn't just go to the grocery store and buy what ever. The Mexican culture actually put effort into what their food consisted of.
