New intermodal transport offer from 04.11.2019

METRANS is one of the market leaders in container hinterland logistics in Central Europe (CEE), with more than

28 years of market experience and an annual transport volume of more than 1 million TEU.

The network system of METRANS is mainly based on its own resources:

▪ Own transhipment points – hubs, terminals, depots

▪ Own fleet of rail vehicles – locomotives, wagons and own train crew

▪ Portfolio of reliable partner for trucking delivery (Last Mile)

This concept provides our customers with reliable intermodal port-to-door v.v. transport solutions.

Our high-frequency shuttle train system connects the ports of Hamburg, Bremerhaven, Rotterdam, Duisburg and

Koper with the economic centres in the Czech and Slovak Republic, as well as in Germany, Hungary, Austria and

Poland.

In response to demand, we are continuously expanding our intermodal network and developing in further. From

04.11.2019 we offer a regular connection between Hamburg and Berlin, v.v. with the simultaneous connection to

our existing network via own Czech hubs in Prague and Česká Třebová as well as to the container terminals in

Hamburg and Bremerhaven (via Hamburg).

In cooperation with LUTRA GmbH, the operator of the logistic center(GVZ) Schönefelder Kreuz, METRANS Group is expanding its ownnetwork and will offer the established services, the transports , but, forthe first time the depot and terminal services in Germany, under theMETRANS flag in the usual METRANS quality.

The GVZ Schönefelder Kreuz is located 25 kilometers southeast ofBerlin and is connected not only on the road side, but also on the railside directly to the important European Transport Corridor II.

The southern Berliner Ring (A 10) leads straight to the front door of theGVZ Schönfelder Kreuz.

▪ From 04.11.2019 we are offering a direct and reliable connection between the port of Hamburg and the

hinterland terminal METRANS Berlin. Our regular trains will run regularly between the Hamburg container

terminals CTA, CTB, EKOM and the terminal METRANS in Berlin Königs Wusterhausen and thus offer you an

optimal solution for the transport of your shipments.

▪ For the last mile transports in the hinterland we use our long-term partners / trucking companies, which can

arrange the delivery according wishes of our customers optimally with aspects of time and economy.

▪ The high quality of METRANS service is supported by our own IT system which is the steering tool connecting

all terminal operations incl. loading and unloading the trains, gate IN / OUT handlings and truck planning.
