Product Features ■ High purity ■ High powder density ■ Excellent fl owability
and machinability
QualityPowder for additive manufacturing:
■ Spherical particles ■ Few satellites
Typical PropertiesThe Ti-48Al-2Cr-2Nb alloy is part of the titanium aluminide (TiAl) group, the intermetallic compounds of titanium and aluminum.
Titanium aluminides exhibit excellent strength and rigidity at high temperatures while having a low density (3.9 g/cm³), making them ideally suited to aerospace applications, specifi cally as a replacement for nickel-based super alloys in jet engines.
Particle Size Distribution
■ Typical fraction for EBM ■ High selectivity ■ Additional fractions available upon request
Maximum working temperature [°C] 800These numbers apply to cast TiAl alloys. The mechanical properties can be adjusted in a wide range through appropriate heat treating.
