Metabowerke GmbH manufactures electric power tools for today's professionals who want to be able to rely on their equipment tomorrow. The high standards of innovation that Metabo upholds have helped make its name known in more than 100 countries.

Yet the company's origins in 1924 were very modest. The founders initially concentrated on manufacturing hand-held equipment. The name 'Metabo' came from the abbreviated German name of one such metal twist drill - 'Metallbohrdreher'.

SAFETY CLUTCHThe Automatic Safety Clutch prevents kickback injuries by automatically disengaging the drive if the disc, blade or bit jams. Since 1966

QUICK NUTThe patented 'Quick' nut makes spanners redundant when changing discs and cut-off wheels.

Restart Protection means that if the power is cut while a tool is in use, it will not automatically restart when the power is restored, preventing the tool from operating uncontrolled.Overload Protection dramatically reduces speed & torque when the tool is placed under excessive loads, thereby preserving the motor.
