A modern and reliable software and hardware complex with a cluster-based fail-safe structure and high bandwidth for transferring SMS and USSD messages over cellular mobile communication networks.

The versatility of the solution used in the creation of SC.SMSC facilitates installing and configuring the system for the custom needs of the MNO.

The system architecture is oriented toward integration with any systems of third party manufacturers installed in the customer’s cellular network. Therefore, the product of Svyazcom is aimed at the expansion of the MNO’s existing technical capabilities, allowing a quantitative and qualitative increase in the network bandwidth in relation to transfer of SMS messages without losing the prior investments.

Key features

Short Message System

Benefits & advantages ReliabilitySC.SMSC has a modular architecture. The modules are combined by a single internal messaging protocol and placed on Linux servers. The minimum configuration uses 2 servers running in the load sharing

(Active-Active) mode. All modules are duplicated on the servers. If the failure of any module is detected, the routing rules between the platform modules are automatically adjusted. Thus, the failure of some elements does not result in the degradation of the provided service.

Bandwidth and scalabilityTo increase performance, the platform architecture supports horizontal scaling by increasing the number of clusters/servers joined by a single internal routing system to distribute the load more equally. The multi-modularity and

flexible configuration of interactions between modules allow for many different scaling options. The platform divides the processing of both SS7 and SMPP traffic. The SMSC throughput is only slightly dependent on the database's performance.

SMS reception from GSM (MAP GSM Phase 2+), CDMA (IS-41) and IMS/RCS (SIP) subscribers SMS delivery to GSM (MAP GSM Phase 2+), CDMA (IS-41) and IMS/RCS (SIP)subscribers SMS exchange with external services and content providers (SMPP 3.4) Short or anonymous number support Support for long/segmented messages Generation and sending of delivery notifications Reception and sending of USSD, support for USSD dialogs, coordination of USSD processing with any business logic, USSD-like service support for CDMA subscribers CDR file formation

Cooperation with prepaid billing using various protocols:

CAMEL Diameter

through SQL queries

MNP support

Set of SMS Extra services:

Flash SMS Inbound SMS message redirection to other subscribers or external services (Email)

Black/white lists for subscribers (individual configuration of reception or sending restrictions from selected subscribers/services)

Delayed delivery (SMS Calendar) SMS Nickname SMS Autoreply

SMS Signature SMS Secret (password-protected SMS messages)

Copy2Email (copying inbound/outbound SMS messages to Email)

Individual mailing lists (sending SMS messages to several recipients at once)

Support for the Collect SMS service (SMS sending at the expense of the recipient in case of insufficient balance of the subscriber’s personal account) Message transliteration Multilingual messages generated by SMSC itself Support for SMS messages in binary format MoreMessagesToSend support Review and clearing of SMS sent but not delivered yet

The practical performance of a one server solution depends on the conditions of the operator's network, and is usually at least 2,000 SMS/sec. When the platform is placed in a virtual environment, the capacity of one node can reach 50,000 SMS/sec.

IntegrationThe use of the standard SMPP 3.4 protocol allows integrating SC.SMSC with various applications, including third party applications.

UniquenessIn any configuration, SC.SMSC, in addition to providing independent SMS delivery and reception status, can be used concurrently with the MNO’s existing SMS centers, retaining the current numbers of SMS centers and all functionalities of the existing equipment. This option is convenient for a quick improvement of the performance of existing equipment with minimum additional service and configuration, which can significantly reduce the MNO’s costs of improvement of short message reception/delivery services. The cluster-based organization of the solution allows the load to be flexibly distributed among the SC.SMSC servers, which, in addition to high performance and fail safety, provides capabilities for “blurred” installation of the solution on the MNO network with a geographically distributed network and weakly connected segments while keeping a single SMSC number for all subscribers.

Built-in network diagnostics mechanisms allow for flexible regulation of bandwidth depending on the network load, which is important on critical days (holidays). Thus an MNO may select the priority traffic type (voice or SMS) by delaying the delivery of low priority messages (delivery reports, low-budget subscribers) for the most effective use of network resources while maintaining the company’s image in relation to VIP subscribers.

Try before you buyAn important advantage of Svyazcom is its readiness to demonstrate its SMSC in action. Our unique offer is a 4-week preinstallation of SC.SMSC in the MNO’s network, which allows the customer to make a realistic assessment of the technical potential of this hardware and software complex, as well as the high economic and commercial efficiency of purchasing it.

Another unique offer is the free box version of the platform, SC.Free SMSC. It is a virtual machine with pre-installed SMSC ready for integration and use.

Adding advertising messages at the end of USSD responses from various services in the MNO network will help deliver information to subscribers in a reliable and effective way. The platform supports both regular USSDs and complex dialogs (USSD menu).

The following integration options are supported:

1. Working independently of the mainUSSD centerOnly certain requests are routed to the platform (for example, only balance requests). The platform will form the response text and add the advertising information to it. In addition to advertising messages, the platform supports configuration for generating the text of the main response.

2. Working as a proxy for the main USSDcenterThe platform requests the balance through a USSD-MO query to the existing USSD center of the MNO in the same way as if done by the subscriber. The received response is supplemented with advertising information according to the required parameters and is sent to the subscriber.

3. Integration with SC.USSDCThe platform receives only those responses from USSDC that need to be supplemented by adding an advertising ending; such responses are processed and sent back to USSDC for subsequent sending to subscribers.

Modification of USSD messagetexts. The following parameters can be considered:1. USSD query text (prefix). Thus, the

advertising endings from USSD cervices can be differentiated

2. Subscriber number. The number canbe used to target advertising messages. You can enter specific texts for individual subscribers, or set up advertising for individual regions, tariffs, etc.

3. Advertising message validity period4. Time of day specified for each

advertising message

5. Total length of the modified USSDresponse (limitation of USSD response length)

6. History of ad displays per subscriber(e. g. an advertisement should not be displayed more than once per day)

7. Encoding (you can define 2 versions ofthe text — for 7-bit and UCS2)

8. Black and white lists for each USSDservice

9. Other parameters can be implementedon the customer’s request

Support for USSD dialogs (USSD menu)Conventional responses are converted into interactive USSD, and the subscriber can respond and thus navigate through the USSD menu. In addition to navigating through menus, USSD requests can be made from the subscriber's number, and provisioning requests can be sent to other MNO's systems to activate services for the subscriber. The USSD menu is configured in the platform web interface.

Sometimes it is difficult for subscribers to untangle the phone settings to use additional services, such as MMS or mobile internet. The reasons are the lack of time to study the instructions or the lack of knowledge about the mobile phone functions.

SC.SMS-Settings platform configures the mobile devices automatically. Auto settings will be sent immediately after a new device appears in the network. Thus, subscribers can use the MNO’s services without any obstacles. Settings could be also sent by the command from MNO's external systems or by means of manual subscriber's ordering via SMS, USSD, IVR.

In addition to the settings sent to the terminals, the platform can be used as a marketing research tool — the system stores information about many parameters of mobile devices. These data allow to create unique offers to subscribers.

SC.SMS-Settings complex can be installed in the minimum configuration which does not require integration with the MNO's signaling network (in this case, integration with the MNO’s SMSC via SMPP protocol will be required). The solution virtualization is also supported.

Different ways to send the settingsto the subscriber:

Automatic sending upon detectionof a new MSISDN-IMEI-IMSI bundle in the network

On command from the billing system(provisioning), e. g. when the service is activated

In response to a SMS/USSD commandfrom a subscriber (settings request). The command may be also sent automatically by the application on the SIM card

On command from the platform’s webinterface

On a provisioning command fromany other system in the MNO’s network (e. g. a subscriber calls the subscriber support service and requests to set up his phone)

Bulk delivery of settings is possibleover a certain subscriber lists formed using the database of SMS-Settings or otherwise

Support for various types of settings Basic: WAP, MMS, Internet via3G/GPRS, Internet for Java applications, Internet for the browser without using a WAP gateway

Optional: VPN, SyncML, Videostreaming, Email, SMTP, POP3, IMAP, PoC (Push-to-Talk), OMA DM Account setting, Wi-Fi

Forming of not only SMS messages withsettings, but also information messages (Welcome SMS, Welcome MMS, manual setting instructions, etc.) Updating the device database with userparameters Generation of statistical reports aboutplatform operation, on the base of subscriber devices

Setting groups of subscribers: Nested groups (two levels)are supported

Group belonging can influenceon settings and notification generation. Group mechanism allows to divide subscribers by macro regions, billing plans, their device settings

It is possible to perform bulkmessaging

Monthly updates of the database withtelephone models — DB contains data for not less than 97 % of MNO's subscriber devices

Notify Call. This service is madeas an alternative way of notifying subscribers signed up for the MCA and the Promised Payment services. If notification of called party B is required the Beep Call service can generate a fake call in the way as it was originated from the number of party A. In this case connection is not established, but the called party will see a real a missed call on his/her mobile phone’s screen. Unlike SMS notifications this service provokes more call backs The CallBack an Undefined service allows subscribers to order a call back to hidden numbers. Subscriber requests can be received in various formats, such as SMS, USSD, IVR. A subscriber (service requester) can hide the phone number realizing a call back or leave it visible

The Voice Call Auto CallBack service allows to order an automatic call back if a call recipient is busy or out of network. During a call to such subscriber’s number a proposition to order the service is played. After the request is accepted the platform starts tracking the status of the subscriber who was tried to connect with. As soon as the subscriber is available (not busy), the platform initializes the request processing and makes a call back. The procedure of dialing and switching to a subscriber is flexibly configurable. The platform also can send the proposition to benefit from the USSD Push service. The service requester is informed about the request status by SMS IVR. Any voice menu logic implementation with accordance of customer requirements MNP support Multilingual user interfaces (SMS/USSD/IVR/Web)

Configuration of SMS notifications Adjustment of SMS notification texts without interrupting the operation of the service

Either the service number or the caller number may be indicated as the sender number

Adjustable logic of handling the calling line identification restriction

MNO’s and subscriber’s black and white lists for SMS notifications

Adjustable logic for group or single missed call notifications

Different delivery modes at different times (day/night)

Adjustable period for storage of missed call information

Parental control: SMS notification copied to the second number

Adding advertisements at the end of SMS notifications. Flexible configuration of simultaneous use of several advertising messages

Provisioning interface for profile management Subscriber-side services management through SMS/USSD/IVR/Web Wide opportunities for combination and options for the use of services:

Default subscriber profile can be used Voicemail facilitates the creation of several service classes to use the service. They can be used to create a flexible pricing policy and stimulate connection of additional services. Two service classes are configured in the system by default: 1. Dynamic voicemail (with

minimum capabilities)2. Static voicemail (full

configuration capabilities and extended message storage period)

Benefits & advantages Performance and reliability — the system tested heavy loads 10+ million processed events daily An internal SMSC can be included in the installation package to save the MNO’s legacy SMSC Voice routing possible using either ISUP or SIP Call signaling can be transferred using ISUP, SIP-I, SIP-T, MAP, INAP and CAMEL protocols

Either E1 or SIGTRAN channels can be used for connection to the SS7 network Wide set of functions with possible improvements according to the Customer’s requirements Documented HTTP interface to manage the voice engine allowing the MNO to establish new voice services based on the solution

The solution is characterized by high reliability: Failure of a single node does not cause the provision of services to be stopped or significantly delayed All system components are redundant The performance reserve of the system is at least 50 % of the planned load

The system includes backup tools. Both full and incremental backup are possible Backup copying does not interrupt the system's operation A set of spare parts is supplied together with the proposed solution

Auto callback platform for subscribers in roaming

The subscribers are offered an opportunity to save money while roaming, which results in higher subscriber loyalty According to the subscriber’s request the platform realizes either an automatic Callback or a Roaming Callback, the classical version of the service The convenience of the service promotes higher traffic and higher ARPU by including subscribers who otherwise would not have been able to make their calls

Zones are managed through the platform web interface SIP and CAMEL support MNP support The subscriber’s language can be determined, and information messages can be made in their native language Integration with various billing systems

Key features

Benefits & advantages

In some cases, the outbound call rates while roaming are somewhat higher than the inbound call rates. Using the Callback technology, MNOs may reduce their subscribers’ costs and, consequently, improve their loyalty.

The proposed solution is designed for the automatic provision of the callback service to roaming subscribers. All foreign regions are divided into zones right down to a MNO. A zone tag is used in billing as well as for a prohibition or permission to use the service.

In order to provide the service, the platform intercepts the call and, without picking up, plays a notification, and then drops the call. After that, calls are made to both subscribers (the customer who ordered the service and the recipient); if they both pick up, a connection is established between them, and the call is billed.

The platform uses the Intelligent Network protocols (IN CAMEL/INAP).

Automatic callback without need for request; the service covers all inbound calls while roaming. The subscriber needs to connect the service to be able to use it Reception of service connection/disconnection requests (SMS/USSD commands, HTTP provisioning) Reception of callback requests (SMS/USSD commands): even if the service is not connected, the subscriber may use it by manually sending a request (classic Roaming Callback)

Management of IN subscriber triggers in HLR when the service is connected or disconnected Flexible request processing:

SMS notification of subscribers about the status of their requests

Notification of subscribers about registering in the network of a non-recommended MNO

Management of acceptable groups of directions both for Subscriber A and Subscriber B. The direction sign is recorded in the call details

The logic for postpaid and prepaid subscribers may vary

Subscriber and terminal registration and control system

SC.EIRThe SC.EIR (Equipment Identity Register) platform is a software and hardware suite for the registration of subscribers and their terminals immediately after they appear on the network. To perform these functions, the platform is integrated with MNO switching equipment and processes CheckIMEI queries from it.The main purpose of such systems is to block devices on the black list from operating on the network. The SC.EIR platform supports this function and noticeably extends it. Support for the required lists (IMEI, IMSI, MSISDN, their bundles, etc.). Logic of their useis adjusted according to the required blocking and unblocking cases Synchronization of lists with Central EIR (CEIR) or other databases Outgoing API to transfer IMSI status to other MNO systems (for example, for partialblocking) Sending notifications to subscribers

Moreover, EIR can be used for the following purposes: Storing device change history for each subscriber Detecting a new subscriber/terminal immediately after it appears on the network Tracking various events (device change, device model change, etc.) for particularsubscribers Sending triggers on tracked events to external systems

These options allow considerably extending and optimizing the functionality of other MNO systems and even implementing new B2B and B2C services. Let's consider some examples. If EIR is integrated with a DMS system: DMS registers new subscribers or device changes immediately after their registrationin the network and automatically sends them automatic data transfer configuration settings. This significantly increases the infiltration of such services and decreases the load on the subscriber service and SMSC It also makes it possible to no longer rely on specialized software on SIM cards forautomatic configuration requests

In DMS, it is possible to accumulate and structure data on devices of the entire MNOsubscriber base. It allows to get extended set of analytic reports for business development

Upon integration with the SC.Campaign Management platform, you can conduct marketing campaigns based on automatic service activation for subscribers who meet certain requirements (use of a promo device, change to nonpromo device, etc.). Available functions are provided below in the SC.Campaign Management platform description (EIR Bonus module description).Upon integration with the subscriber event monitoring system (see the SC.Subscriber Control platform description below), device change events can be tracked. In cooperation with the M2M platform the problem of control over the legal usage of devices can be solved (the optional EIR M2M module should be installed). Since special rates are often offered for M2M SIM cards, users can abuse an operator's confidence by using these SIM cards with other devices. The EIR M2M module instantly detects such a situation and informs the M2M platform about it. The module supports several modes for sending events to the M2M platform: IMSI list tracking:

An event is sent every time it is detected An event is sent if no events on this IMSI took place within a given period before thetime of detection

Bundles tracking and sending an event if: IMSI changed a device IMSI changed a device model IMSI appeared on the network with an IMEI different from the initial one IMSI appeared on the network with an IMEI that does not coincide with the previousone

Receipt of CheckIMEI events over MAP,S13 (Diameter) and other protocols Response generation to switchingequipment (whitelisted/greylisted/blacklisted)

Detection of new IMEI-IMSI-MSISDNtriplets on the network Loading IMSI-MSISDN lists from billing(if necessary)

Support for various tracking lists Generation of queries to externalsystems when new triplets or an event on the tracking list is detected

Ability to delete detections. Automaticdeletion of outdated detections Preparation of IMEI-IMSI-MSISDNtriplets cache upon initial startup

30

Key features

Page 32: Messaging Voice Data

31

Benefits & advantages Operation modesThe SC.EIR platform has two operation modes.1. Operation in the EIR emulator mode. The

platform first always replies ‘whitelisted’ to switching equipment and then performs all other functions. Its main function is to quickly detect a device on the network corresponding to certain conditions and to generate triggers to external systems.

2. Real EIR operating mode. The mainfunction here is to not to admit unauthorized equipment in the network. Integration with CEIR can also be performed for this function. If a device is registered in the network, further additional checks are performed.

In both these modes, it is possible to proxy CheckIMEI traffic to another system in the MNO network.High productivityOur company has installations with the following maximum productivity:

Storage of 200 million unique triplets Receipt of 10000 CheckIMEI/second Ability to send up to 1000 triggers persecond to external systems Receipt of files or HTTP queries frombilling with updated IMSI-MSISDN bundles in the amount of not more than half of the subscriber base a day

Productivity can be linearly increased by horizontal scaling of the system.

Unique solutionIn addition to standard options, the SC.EIR platform has the following additional benefits:

The registration event processing logic, both for the real EIR and EIR emulator, is rather flexible for adjustments based upon customer requirements

The creation of a database on allsubscribers and their terminals as well as keeping it up to date for further processing, analysis, and report generation

Fast detection of new IMEI-IMSI-MSISDN triplets appearing on the network (up to 10 seconds after their appearance)

Ability to use the platform in manyregions, where each EIR processes local subscriber detections and sends detected subscribers from other regions to their home EIR Ability to receive CheckIMEI events overa number of protocols: MAP, S13 (Diameter), SOAP, HTTP, SMPP Ability to perform integration via MAPprotocol both over SS7 network and through SIGTRAN Ability to supplement tripletsby subscriber location

Integration and extension optionsSC.EIR can be easily integrated with the solutions of any vendor. The platform also has a module structure allowing deploying separate system program components on dedicated hardware for scaling purposes to increase the degree of performance and integration with the MNO's network.Options for functionality extension are as follows:

Installation of the EIR M2M module Redesigning of interfaces to externalsystems to send them triggers Extension by functions of theSC.SMS-Settings platform (DMS system) Extension by functions of the SC.LBSplatform (Location Based Services) Extension by functions of theSC.Welcome SMS platform

Key features

Empowering standard switching equipment

Vulnerability in the SS7 protocol stack could lead to disclosure of subscriber's personal data and key communication services malfunctions. Since changes in the existing MNO's infrastructure are a very complex and labor-intensive process, and protocol revision is not envisaged in the nearest future, SS7 Firewall is used to protect the network.

The SC.SS7 Firewall platform expands capabilities of standard switching equipment and prevents intervention into mobile communication network operation. Due to various rules for SS7 traffic analysis and filtration, this platform ensures protection from security threats from outside (from other networks). Unwanted or fraud traffic is detected automatically. About threats on a network it is reported in real time.

SC.SS7 Firewall collects detailed statistics about system loading and the structure of analyzed data.

Besides protection of MNO's equipment and subscribers, platform performance capabilities allow to facilitate balancing and traffic transfer between mobile network components, as well as significantly speed up new services deployment.

It is possible to install the platform only with SMS traffic control functions. Such version is called SC.SMS Firewall.

Flexible logic of MAP, CAP queriesanalysis External ISUP traffic control (informationcollection, call modification and blocking with indication of any possible dropping causes) Fulfilment of active network queriesto other blocks of the MNO's signaling network. Typically, these requests are sent towards HLR to identify MSC/VLR that provides the service to the subscriber and the current subscriber state Identification and blocking of cloneSIM cards in roaming

Collection of detailed statistics aboutSS7 traffic:

On ISUP calls On SMS traffic On CAP traffic

Implementation of some HLR functions: Protection against a SIM card activitymonitoring by other operators

SRI queries processing Easy-to-use interfaces for SS7 trafficprocessing, which allow to individually solve MNO's needs in analysis, monitoring and modification of SS7 traffic Constant recording of transit SS7 trafficfor its further analysis Simultaneous work with many STPs(Signal Transfer Point)

Capability to connect simultaneously2G/3G networks and IMT-MC networks (CDMA2000) Flexible routing conditions for SS7 traffic(for example, to organize simultaneous operation of several SMSCs and smooth traffic transfer between them). When choosing a route, it could be necessary to consider the following parameters, such as Global Title, Point Code, SSN, MAP operation code, sender and receiver numbers in the message body (Optional) Use of an internalprogramming language to customize the logic:

Message routing Modification, deletion or additionof message parameters

Message billing

Functions for the SC.SMS Firewallinstallation variant:

External SMS traffic control(information collection, identifying spam mailing sessions and blocking them on the fly)

Identifying and blocking of maliciousSMS traffic of various types (SMS-Flooding, SMS-Spoofing, SMS-Smishing)

Modification of the SMSTP-Reply-Path flag on the fly. Flag is issued by a telephone, which sends SMS and tells that is it necessary to answer for received SMS through SMSC of the message sender

Other processing as per MNO's wish

Steering of Roaming is a technology designed to help MNOs make the decision which operator/partner network to use for subscribers in roaming. As a rule, such a choice is conditioned by the desire to take advantage of the most beneficial interoperator tariffs, fulfill bilateral agreements with partners, and ensure subscribers are receiving quality communication services. By intercepting signaling traffic during subscriber registration, SC.Steering of Roaming platform allows or prohibits connection based on adopted rules. The parameters used by the system to make decisions are set through the web interface:

The list of preferred, non-preferred, and prohibited MNOs or desirable distributionof registrations among networks External MNO numbers or network nodes ranges Numbers or IMSI ranges of own subscribers Rule function schedule Network type (2G/3G or 4G) Timers and counters to limit steering use And others

Registration control on guest networks increases the loyalty of your subscribers. For example, to avoid the accumulation of large debts among prepaid subscribers, SC.Steering of Roaming can be used for guest registration exclusively on networks supporting real-time billing.Since all registration events pass through the platform, it can be amended by a number of functions to turn it into a full roaming platform:

Traffic accounting by IP direction and IP subnetworks Classify IP direction by traffic type:

incoming outgoing bidirectional

Keep track of maximum traffic limit per subscriber, according to the account balance Allow/deny access to IP directions, for example allow subscriber to access the operator's web site, even with in-sufficient funds in subscriber’s account Blocking traffic between subscriber's subnetworks, if they are not connected to PDSN/GPRS networks, in order to avoid data traffic loops between PDSN/GPRS equipment and router Generate billing information for postpaid accounting systems according to operator's requirements Interaction with billing system duringan internet session, for debt prevention

This system measures billing of WAP and internet traffic depending on content of data, in contrast to standard billing methods, which are based on volumes of consumed data traffic.

Installation of such a system will enable a mobile operator to set different tariffs for various media and content downloaded by the subscriber even if different content is the same size in bytes.

SC.DMG can also be used for subscriber’s authentication in such services as Web service, Push to Talk, IMS, SyncML, etc.

The platform consists of two subsystems which can be used independently:

Telecommunication companies handle a huge amount of data about their subscribers. These data should be analyzed in detail and structured regularly to allow for a systematic vision of subscribers' behavior in real time. Such a comprehensive vision includes an understanding of subscriber habits, modes and methods of their use of services, preferences and interests. The implementation in the MNO’s business processes of various bonus systems increases loyalty and reduces subscriber churn. The SC.Campaign Management platform is to manage promotional campaigns, discounts and bonuses which are automatically provided to subscribers in certain conditions. Events information which is relevant for participation in the campaign can be received by the platform from various systems in the MNO’s network. Interaction with external systems is based on standard protocols enabling easy solution integration into the third parties systems. The adaptation to the peculiarities of certain systems is also possible. The tool for targeted marketing programs allows you to manage a subscriber base, for example, to introduce a new tariff policy by stimulating in a choice of tariff plans.

All settings are adjusted via the web interface: Creation of a campaign and adjustment of its parameters:

Conditions of a bonus and a pre-bonus assignment (can include several steps) Conditions of bonus withdrawal Texts of SMS notifications to subscribers Possibility of refusal to participate in the campaign Effective period Priority (for cases of a subscriber participation in several campaigns)

Parameters of interaction with external systems Management of reference books (black and white lists, etc.)

Web interface also allows to view the history of platform interaction with billing or other systems, the current status and history of each subscriber, a list of participants.

Key features

Today, financial institutions frequently interact with their clients via mobile networks. Sales, client servicing, and verification are often executed remotely, via a call center operator or mobile app. However, this greatly increases chances to implement various fraud schemes both related to these institutions and their clients. Typical example: a client changes his number, but his bank receives this information only after a certain time period and thus continues to send various information messages to the old number.

The SC.Subscriber Control platform is intended to decrease the risk level of such fraud during remote servicing via mobile telecommunication networks. The platform accepts requests from clients for service event monitoring for IMSI or MSISDN and then informs them about relevant events in real time. Data collection is executed in close interaction with a number of MNO systems: billing, EIR, HLR, VLR, SMSC, database of infected devices, etc.

The SC.LiveScreen solution consists of a VAS platform for campaign management and Java applet installed on subscribers' SIM cards. The use of the VAS platform in combination with an applet on the SIM card is an efficient tool for informing and interacting with subscribers, which has certain advantages over other means (MT SMS and USSD Push).

The applet can receive messages which it will display on the screen of the subscriber's

telephone upon the advent of different events. These messages can be longer than traditional SMS, they will not occupy SMS memory, and are removed automatically when no longer relevant. Interactivity is a new feature — the displayed advertising/informative message (teaser) can be used to send SMS/USSD, make a call, and open specific links in the browser. In combination with the capabilities of the VAS platform, which allows management of simultaneous campaigns, collection of statistical data and generation of reports, it is a powerful marketing tool.

Key features
