Message of the Gospel

THE LORDS' JOY BAPTIST CHURCH 1. God, the Creator God created the heaven and earth and human beings. "In the beginning, when God created the universe," (Genesis 1:1) "So God created human beings, making them to be like himself. He created them male and female," (Genesis 1:27)

There is no god who says that he is the creator of this world. Only the Triune God clearly says He created all things in heaven and earth. God created human beings after His likeness to govern whole world as His agents. But they committed sin.

2. Sin and Its Eternal Punishment All have sinned. Everyone has sinned and is far away from God's saving presence. (Romans 3:23)

The origin of Sin is Satan. (1) Satan rebelled against God to be like Him.King of Babylon, bright morning star....You said you would climb to the tops of the clouds and be like the Almighty (Isiah 14:12-15).

(2) The Satan(Devil) has been cast out from heaven and has become the prince of this world of darkness. Satan tempted human beings to commit the same Sin with Satan. The snake replied, . . ."God said that because he knows that when you eat it, you will be like God . . . ."(Genesis 3:4-5)

The same Sin with Devil is to make himself as God (lord).

Human beings put their steps on the same road which Satan stepped on.

(1) In that way human beings have become the lord of their lives as children of Satan. You are the children of your father, the Devil, and you want to follow your father's desires. ... (John 8:44)

(2) As a result of becoming the lord of themselves, they are committing many sins They are filled with all kinds of wickedness, evil, greed, and vice; they are full of jealousy, murder, fighting, deceit, and malice. They gossip and speak evil of one another; they are hateful to God, insolent, proud, and boastful; they think of more ways to do evil; they disobey their parents; they have no conscience; they do not keep their promises, and they show no kindness or pity for others. (Romans 1:29-31)

Human beings have to pay the cost of the Sin. (1) The result of sin is death and there will be judgement after death. Sin pays its wage - death... (Romans 6:23)

Everyone must die once, and after that be judged by God.(Hebrews 9:27)

(2) The final destination of the judgement is fallen into the pond of fire (hell). . . . the place for them is the lake burning with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.(Revelation 21:8)

Here is Good news! God sent His Son Jesus to solve the problem of the Sin and sins.

3. God's Love: The Cross So God loved us and sent His only begotten Son to die on the cross in our place of punishment, and raised Him up from the dead. God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life. (John 3:16)

How can we believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that His death was for our Sin and sins? God gave us clear evidence. The evidence is the resurrection of Jesus.

4. Resurrection: the Perfect Proof of Redemption Jesus died and resurrected as written in the Bible. I passed on to you what I received, which is of the greatest importance: that Christ died for our sins, as written in the Scriptures; that he was buried and that he was raised to life three days later, as written in the Scriptures; (1Corinthians 15:3-4)

(1) Prophecies in the Old TestamentBut because of our sins he was wounded, beaten because of the evil we did. We are healed by the punishment he suffered, made whole by the blows he received. ... the LORD made the punishment fall on him, the punishment all of us deserved. (Isiah 53:5-6)

(2) Jesus' testimonies (John 8:58; Mark 10:45; Matthew 16:21) Jesus began to say plainly to his disciples, ". . . I will be put to death, and three days later I will be raised to life."(Matthew 16:21) (3) Fulfillment by Jesus (John 19:30; 20:1-9; Luke 24:44; Acts 1:3) For forty days after his death he appeared to them many times in ways that proved beyond doubt that he was alive. . . .(Acts 1:3)

As written in the Bible, Jesus is God. And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead. (Romans 1:4)

Jesus' resurrection is the proof which guarantees the fact that He has forgiven our Sin and sins through His death on the Cross. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising that man from death! (Acts 17:31)

Jesus' resurrection is God given proof for everyone.

5. The Sin of Unbelieving in Jesus The Sin the Holy Spirit rebukes is unbelieving in JesusThey are wrong about sin, because they do not believe in me(John 16:9)

Human beings committed the basic Sin of rejecting God and they also rejected Jesus who died and resurrected because of the human beings basic Sin of rejecting God.

The Sin of not believing in Jesus is making oneself as his(her) Lord. For Christ died and rose to life in order to be the Lord of the living and of the dead. (Romans 14:9)

6. Repentance and Acceptance You must repent the Sin of not believing in Jesus(making yourself as your lord of life), and accept Jesus as your lord to be saved.

"Each one of you must turn away from your sins and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, so that your sins will be forgiven; and you will receive God's gift, the Holy Spirit." (Acts 2:37-38)

If you confess that Jesus is Lord and believe that God raised him from death, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9)

Accept Jesus as Lord in your heart. Behold! I stand at the door and knock; if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come into him, and eat with him, and he with me. (Revelation 3:20)

If you repent your sin(not believing in Jesus) and accept Him as your lord in your heart, you will be forgiven and be saved. Will you invite Him in your heart through reading the following prayer with praying heart?

Prayer of invitation

Dear God, I am a sinner who has rejected you. Now I repent from the Sin of rejecting you and of not believing in Jesus. I believe in Jesus who died on the cross because of my sin and resurrected from death. Oh, Jesus, I accept you as the Lord of my life. You are the Son of God. Please come into my heart and life as my Lord. In Jesus name I prayed. Amen!

Have you prayed with true heart? Then where is Jesus now? As you invited Jesus in your heart, Jesus is in you!

7. Assurance and eternality of salvation Salvation is sure. Some, however, did receive him and believed in him; so he gave them the right to become God's children. (John 1:12)

I am telling you the truth those who hear my words and believe in him who sent me have eternal life. They will not be judged, but have already passed from death to life. (John 5:24)

Salvation is eternal. No one can snatch the privilege of Child of God when you accept Jesus as your Lord (John 10:28-29)

You have been saved eternally by the Holy Spirit!
