This week’s Perasha addresses a topic that in almost all other areas of life we deem obvious but when it comes to Torah and Mitzvoth we raise our eyebrows as if it is strange. Moshe Rabbenu is clear when he speaks about the consequences of observing Hashem’s commandments and not observing them. One choice leads to blessing, while the other results in some pretty horrible stuff. Permit me to suggest that consequences in life are positive and give meaning to our every action. Imagine for a moment I live without regards to consequences and stay up all night, every night, or spend money without regard, or I betray relationships without consideration and expect that nothing bad will happen? This is foolish. Do we really desire such an existence? An existence in which our choices and decisions make no difference to how our lives turn out? Of course not! Life would be empty and utterly meaningless. The fact that our actions, and our choices have consequence makes life meaningful and worth living. The focus of our week was the letter A for Apples Apples Apples! We tasted red, yellow and green apples and graphed our favorite ones. We cut apples in half and noticed the hidden star inside with seeds. We used the apples to stamp with paint and matched pompom apples on apple trees.. We learned the letter A in our notebooks and we are so proud of all the children who have been working so hard on their homework. We also focused on the first letter of our names and traced them with stickers. We cant wait to see what next week brings with the letter B and BZZ BZZ Bees. Shabbat Shalom
