Second semester is well underway and there are many items to be mindful of. To begin, juniors will be taking the SAT on Saturday, March 14 th . Don’t forget to confirm which campus your student is testing at and to review all the guidelines for test check-in. Juniors will not have to miss any of their concurrent enrollment courses due to the Saturday testing date. To help prep students for testing, SAGE Affordable Tutoring will be providing after school SAT test prep every Tuesday from 3:30 pm-5:00 pm in room 253, at no cost to D11 students through their testing date. Khan Academy is another personalized test prep tool that juniors can utilize. If you have any questions regarding SAT testing or are running into any issues, please reach out to Dr. Lamphere. We have had a snowy winter this school year. Odyssey ECCO still has “snow day” time to access. The state of Colorado has granted School District 11 a time waiver if we incur more snow days past our banked snow day time. This waiver means there is no need to make schedule arrangements outside of what we have done to date. Although students have Spring Break on their minds, please be aware that March is typically our snowiest month of the year. Please pay attention to your D11 Loop app, social media, and email for updates about any closures or delays. Finally, I encourage you and your students to have a restful Spring Break! Students work so hard and need a chance to get away from the academic hustle. We recognize that it takes dedication for students to complete an associate's degree while in high school, hence it is equally important for your student to unwind and relax after working so hard. Spring break serves as that chance to rest and get ready to finish up the remainder of the semester. Sincerely, Sean Norman Principal Odyssey Early College and Career Options March 2020
