Senza mai perdere la sua personalità: l’arancina è sempre arancina ed è rigorosamente “fimmina”!Tasty and popular food, simple ingredients from land and sea, harmoniously melted to nourish, satiate and give intense pleasure. Sicilian street food is true comfort food, and in our original interpretationit combines contemporary taste with lighter cooking and tasty condiments. Without ever losing its personality: the arancina is always an arancina and “she” is strictly a “female”!

A magnificent panorama unfolds around you. You can see the branches of the ficus of Piazza Marina, the largest tree in Europe, and the statue of the Immaculate that stands on Piazza San Domenico, facing the beautiful church of the same name, the Pantheon of the Sicilians; the railwaystation, a monumental building of the late nineteenth century, among the oldest Italian stations still active, and the skyscraper of the INA, the highest building in Palermo; the very elegant PalazzoMoncada of the Paternò Princes, the impressive Massimo theater, the third largest opera house in Europe, and the Palazzo delle Poste, one of the most interesting rationalist architecture buildingsin Italy. There are many domes and bell towers, such as San Matteo, Sant’Andrea and San Francesco, Santa Caterina and San Giuseppe, Casa Professa and the Santissimo Crocifisso all'Olivella, with the adjacent, very rich archaeological museum. And of course, last but not least, the sea, to remind us that Sicily is an island, the heart of the Mediterranean.

The name Sicilò, which might seem a commercial mispronunciation to represent Sicily, actually derives from the name of the most ancient complete piece of music that has comedown to us, the Epitaph of Sicilo. Composed between the I century BC and the 2nd century AD,it was carved on a stele, found in 1866 in Turkey. Its value was not immediately clear: for a long time it was actually used as a pedestal for a vase of flowers and, for this reason, it was sawn at the base, so it could stand straight. Today, fortunately, the stele has found itsplace in a museum and, thanks to modern composers, it is possible to listen to the music of twothousand years ago.The composition of a plate is like a musical score, with all the elements that must harmonizeperfectly with each other. And so, linking back to that ancient story, Sicilò wants to be a spaceof harmony and creativity, with a cuisine that, like music, arouses infinite emotions.
