A b o u t B a t h

Light, uniform lines and rounded bases create a bathroom s er i es characterised by understated elegance. This is all that is n eed ed to create a pleasingly clean focal point in your bathroom. Wi th f u n cti on al details all around, the new Bath series from Menu is both hygi en i c an d user-friendly.

The designers behind Norm Bath are Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen an d Ka sp e r Rø nn aka NORM. This style duo worships minimalism and functional i ty a nd endeavour to design products that meet real- l i fe needs whi le a t the sa m e t i m e pleasing al l our senses. These ambit ions are successful ly comb i ne d i n N o r m ’ s bath series for Menu. Al l redundant elements have been str ipp e d away, leav i ng only a clean look and straight-forward usefulness.

The styl ish series comprises 9 i tems: a towel ladder, towel ha ng e r, wi p e r, knobs, toi let rool holder, pedal bin, toi let brush, soap dispen se r, to o thb r ush holder and a small container with a mirror. The i tems share the sa m e sha p e and characterist ic rounded base, giving them l ightness without compromising on stabil ity. Al l i tems stand f irmly and securely in place.

Clean l ines and simple functional i ty make the i tems easy to clea n a nd use . For example, the brushed steel l id of the pedal bin opens easi ly, wi tho ut hi tt i ng the wal l behind i t as most other pedal bin l ids tend to do.

The toothbrush holder has a clever s ieve in i ts base, al lowing wa te r to esca p e and leaving your toothbrush dry. The practical mirror in the co nta i ne r l i d i s hidden, yet always close to hand.

“Our work is f i rmly rooted in Scandinavian design tradit ion. Whe n a recognizable form gets an original twist, the products seems m o re fun to use . This is the principle that we have incorporated in the bathroo m , whe re cleanl iness is of paramount importance,” explain Jonas Bjerre-Po ulse n a nd Kasper Rønn.
