manned doesn’t mean you can sneak a non-member on the facilities (seen
that too). No outside alcohol means no outside alcohol. I could go on but let’s just say it; we take advantage of our
situation and ignore what we know are the right things to do.
The only thing that is going to keep us from being the best is ourselves.

management looking around to see what was out there and doing their best to add what was necessary to
make our club unique; better. So what is going to make us the best?
It is always easier to point out more weaknesses than strengths but let’s
face it; we do have some areas where we can improve. Our customer service can always improve. The fitness center
could use a ‘makeover.’ We need restroom facilities on the Black golf
course (and pickle ball courts). If I may nitpick a little, the cart service could
improve (since they are the face of the golf course) and sometimes the golf driving range is in disarray. But if we
truly want to be the best, we are going to have to take a hard look at ourselves,

We need to acknowledge each other and hold ourselves accountable for
what goes on at The Georgia Club. We take the amenities and the club rules
for granted, in my opinion. If the service is less than acceptable, a constructive
conversation should take place with the appropriate person. If the newsletter or an email asks that you park your car or
personal golf cart in a designated place, we should do so. No walking, bike
riding or dog walking on the golf course means just that (I have seen all three). And just because it’s after hours and the clubhouse or fitness center is un-

Good, Better, Best
by The Undercover Member
Five years ago we were a ‘good; club. The golf was good, the clubhouse and
lounge, good, tennis courts, fitness center good; and the ‘usual events’ were all good. We were a good club
and at very good price. Then came change.
Access became easier, food and beverage got better, billing became
easier, the golf course got better, tennis courts were resurfaced, pickle ball courts were added, the lounge expanded, we became more “family
friendly” and membership grew. However, prices did not (noticeably).
We got better. We got better at adding more amenities, more events. We got better at listening and acting on feedback. This was a result of

early with a bright smile every morning. We are proud to award her the Bobby Jones Cloverleaf award
for the month of March.
