READ ONLY MEMORY (ROM) A MEMORY CHIPWITH CONTENTS PERMANENTLY LOADED BY THE MANUFACTURER FOR READ-ONLY APPLICATIONS.

CACHE MEMORY HIGH-SPEED SOLID-STATE MEMORY FOR PROGRAM INSTRUCTIONS & DATA. IT IS USED BY COMPUTER DESIGNERS TO INCREASE COMPUTER SYSTEM THROUGHPUT.
