In 1622 the Atocha left Cuba for Spain with gold, silver and gems and other coins

While Atocha was sailing a hurricane comes, Atocha sinks.

For a long time people search for the Atocha ship but nobody finds it.

In 1960, a man named Mel Fisher wants to find the Atocha

People give Mel Fisher money to buy what he needs to search for the lost ship (Atocha).

Mel Fishers boat has sonar and the divers have metal detectors to help them find treasures.

They still don’t find anything

A man named Eugene Lyon tells Mel Fisher he’s looking in the wrong place.

In 1971 Mel finds some gold coins and an anchor

He’s not sure these things are from the Atocha

In 1974 Mel finds silver bars with the Atocha markings but not the ship.

In 1985 Mel finds the Atocha
