what is it?megaventory is a web tool where anyone being a business or an individual can manage and control the availability of an entity being a product or a service and make this information available to others

why inventory? (why megaventory?)

• inventory everywhere• refrigerator inventory(!)• Inventory of business sectors (can have a

chain effect and arrive at the root) • public inventory (you don’t bother listing

the items; items advertize themselves when they become old! buyers come to you and make offers.)

• Inventory of services (hotels, rooms to let, plumbers etc)

• maybe not NOW, but in the next couple of years!

inventory keeping will be the next big think on the web

history and present• history

– The idea came around early 2005 in order to track the inventory of the products of diveshop.gr suppliers.

– an early version, was launched in Jan 2008 and used to efficiently manage the inventory of diveshop.gr and also provide information about the inventory of diveshop.gr suppliers. It was connected to diveshop.gr frontend.

– megaventory became an autonomous project in May 2008 and left diveshop.gr by late September 2008 (a compensation was agreed) as my partners wanted to stick to the risk-free and well established commercial route of diving equipment. I am risky (thanks DAD) and decided to go ahead alone with megaventory

• present– the project includes –at the moment- a freelancer vb.net/SQL server

expert and me (for all the rest). Some friends were/are involved in translation.

– megaventory receives about 50 paid visits daily (~5€/day) and 50 non-paid. With 5% account conversion rate (all but one accounts are trials or basic) there are ~110 accounts since adwords started (Jan 20).
