Priority 1: To develop consistent high quality learning and teaching approaches which ensures equity and high aspirations which improve outcomes and promotes the well-being for all

This will include strategies such as:-

1. Devising cluster action plans within; Visible Learning; Growth Mindsets; Building Learning Power; Outdoor Learning to allow staff to research/ implement/ review/ share and embed into practice2. Updating the Health and Well-Being learning pathways to ensure breadth, depth and progression of learning.

What this will mean!

We will have: - - resilient and confident children that are able to

make informed decisions

- staff, children and young people know, understand and use the well-being indicators as an integral

feature of school life.

( Well being indicators are Safe, Healthy, Achieving, Nurtured, Active, Respected, Responsible and

Included )

Priority 2 : To raise attainment and ensure equity in Literacy and English through improved learning and teaching of reading and spelling.

This will include strategies such as: -

1. Implementing progressive learning pathways in reading skills and stages of spelling development into planning, assessment and moderation which ensure pace, breadth, depth and progression

2. Develop literacy experiences and outcomes through interdisciplinary learning and further develop real life contexts for learning.

What this will mean!

- Learning and teaching within reading and spelling is improved resulting in raised

attainment for all. - Pupil independence is improved through the promotion of independent thinking and have a

go approach.

Additional Tasks• Further embed the promotion of curiosity, creativity and

inquiry within the nursery setting.

• Develop Pupil profiling in Nursery using on-line Learning Journals.

• Embed learning and teaching approaches in Maths and Numeracy.

• Continue to embed 1+2 agenda by ensuring progressive learning in French across the school.

Cluster WorkingOur cluster schools have been working together for some time now and are developing greater collaboration. This ensures equity, transparency and clarity amongst all settings within the cluster. Staff from all cluster schools will be part of a network group to investigate: -

• Growth Mindsets• Building learning Power• Visible learning

A further initiative is that of ‘I- achieve’ across all cluster schools

Feedback will be available for all cluster parents at the end of the study.
