• 1 mg = 1000 micrograms• 1 gm = 1000 milligrams • 1 Kg = 1000 grams• 1 Kg = 2.2 pounds • 1 L = 1000 milliliter• Drip factor of the infusion dripper 60

drops/ml• Drip factor of the IV set =15 - 20 drops/ml• Drip factor of the solu-set 60 drops/ml

unit, multiply by 1000 or move the decimal

point three places to the right

• To convert from a smaller unit to a larger

unit, divide by 1000 or move the decimal
