Medical Korea Information center provides support in cooperation with Korea Medical Dispute Mediation and arbitration Agency and Korea Human Resource Development Institute for Health and Welfare, in case of medical complaints and malpractice.

The object of the Act is to receive safe and qualified medical services, to improve convenience in using Korean medical services and to assure foreign patients’ rights.

“Medical Korea Health Check-Up” is a government run website administered by Ministry of Health and Welfare of Korea and Korea Health Industry Development Institute. It is envisioned as a trustworthy, one-stop service platform in which medical tourists can access health check-up reservation and other value-added services.

Information of Cosmetic Surgery V.A.T RefundFrom April 1, 2016, foreign patients may receive a V.A.T refund on their cosmetic surgery expenses.

Eligibility • A foreigner who has no address and residence in Korea

V.A.T refund Period • April 1, 2016 ~ March 31, 2017
