For those using quarterly billing, one month of free service is included.
Annual payment plans include free shipping and two months of service
free of charge. Medical Alert does not have a contract requirement or
charge acEvaEon fees.
Warranty
• All of Medical Alert’s equipment is covered with a lifeEme warranty. • This warranty covers technical or mechanical breakdown only and all
equipment will be replaced free of charge. • If the damage is due to loss or mistreatment however, the customer is
responsible for the cost of replacement. • Replacement fees are as follows:
o PERS replacement $350 o Mobile Alert replacement $350 o Alert 911 replacement $150
Are Medical Alert services and devices covered by Private Insurance, Medicaid or Medicare?
• Some private insurance companies may cover medical monitoring. Frequently the paEent is responsible for the charges and may be reimbursed for their service fees. One should examine their ExplanaEon of Benefits to determine coverage.
• Those with Medicaid should contact their local Medicaid office or local Area Agency on Aging to determine if a program to cover medical monitoring for this has been established in their area.
• Medicare does not cover Medical Alert monitoring.
