Mediamatic Starvation Experiment - May2014

People starve themselves for different reasons: political activism, religion, weight loss, eating disorders, long life, research or just curiosity. In the framework of the Lightness manifestation at Mediamatic in Amsterdam Arne Hendriks invited people to fast together with him. Hendriks was looking to overcome his fear of hunger, as well as initiate a desire for less. He invited me to hold a lecture on this topic, departing from my own two-week fasts I submit myself to twice a year.
