O Alláh send Your blessings on Muhammad

and the family of Muhammad.




ãÍãkåÇádãÂ CáÊBákáÎ ÕãmáäÂB ãÐáäÃãÂ

âkÇádåÂáB

Praise belongs to Alláh who guided us to His praise




ãÐãÃåÎáF åÌãÆ CáËáÃá¯á_ áÑ

and placed us among the people of praise,




áÌÖãoã¿CáäxÂB áÌãÆ ãÐãÊCátåcããß

áÉÒâ¿áËãÂ

that we might be among the thankful for His beneficence




áÌ×ãËãtådâÇåÂB áADáqá_ áÀãÂál ÔáÃá®

CáËáÖãqå`á×ãÂ áÑ

and that He might recompense us for that

with the recompense of the good-doers!




ãÐãËÖãkãQ CáÊCáRác ÕãmáäÂB ãÐáäÃãÂ

âkåÇádåÂB áÑ

And praise belongs to Alláh who showed favour to us through His

religion,




ãÐãXáäÃãÇãQ CáËáä|áXågB áÑ

singled us out for His creed,




ãÐãÊCátåcãH ãÄâRâs Øã¶ CáËáÃáäRás áÑ

and directed us onto the roads of His beneficence,




ãÐãÊBáÒå¢ãn ÔáÂãH ãÐãäËáÇãQ CáÏá¿âÃåtáËãÂ

in order that through His kindness we might travel upon them to His good

pleasure,




CáäËá® ãÐãQ Ôá¢åoáÖ áÑ CáäËãÆ âÐâÃáäRá»áXáÖ

Bæk~åÇ~ác

a praise which He will accept from us and through which He will be pleased

with us!




âÍáoåÏáw ãÄâRâätÂB áÀåÃãW åÌãÆ áÄá¯á_ ÕãmáäÂB

ãÐáäÃãÂ âkåÇádåÂB áÑ

And praise belongs to Alláh who appointed among those roads His

month,




ãÅCá×ãä|ÂB áoåÏáw áÉCá£áÆán áoåÏáw

the month of Rama_án,the month of fasting,




ãnÒâÏáä§ÂB áoåÏáw áÑ ãÅáÚåsãåßB áoåÏáw áÑ

the month of submission,the month of purity,




ãÅCá×ã»åÂB áoåÏáw áÑ ã}×ãdåÇáäXÂB áoåÏáw

áÑ

the month of putting to test,the month of standing in prayer,




èVCáËãä×áQ áÑ ãrCáäËÃãÂ ÓækâÎ âÉDåoâ»åÂB ãÐ×ã¶

áÁãqåÊâF ÕãmáäÂBãÉCáºåoâ·åÂBáÑ ÓákâÏåÂB áÌãÆ

in which the Qur’án was sent down as guidance to the people, and as clear signs

of the Guidance and the Separator! (2:185)




ãnÒâÏâäxÂB ãoãMEás ÔáÃá® âÐáXáÃ×ã£á¶

áÉCáQáGá¶

He clarified its excellence over other months




ãÄãMEá£á·åÂB áÑ ãTánÒâ¶åÒáÇåÂB

ãVCáÆâoâdåÂB áÌãÆ âÐáÂ áÄá¯á_ CáÇãQ

ãTánÒâÏåxáÇåÂB

by the many sacred things and well-known excellencies which He placed therein,




CæÆCá«å®ãH ãÍãoå×á² Øã¶ áäÄácáF EáÆ ãÐ×ã¶

áÅáäoádá¶

for He made unlawful in it what He declared lawful in others, to magnify

it,




CæÆBáoå¿ãH áPãnCáxáÇåÂBáÑ

áÈã®Cá§áÇåÂB ãÐ×ã¶ áoá`ác áÑ

He prohibited foods and drinks in it, to honour it,




CæËãä×áQ CæXåºáÑ âÐáÂ áÄá¯á_ áÑ

and He appointed for it a clear time




âÐáÃåRáº áÅáäká»âÖ åÉáF áäqá® áÑ áäÄá_

âq×ã`âÖ áÙ

which He (majestic and mighty is He) allows not to be set forward,




âÐåËá® áoáägáKâÖ åÉáF âÄáRå»áÖ áÙ áÑ

and accepts not to be placed behind.




èoåÏáw ã¸åÂáF ØãÂCá×áÂ ÔáÃá® ãÐ×ãÂCá×áÂ åÌãÆ

æTákãcBáÑ æUáÃå×áÂ áÄáä£á¶ áäÈâ[

Then He made one of its nights surpass the nights of a thousand months,




ãnåká»åÂB á UáÃå×áÂ CáÎCáäÇás áÑ

and named it the Night of Decree;




èoåÆáF ãäÄâ¿ åÌãÆ åÈãÏäQán ãÉålãIãQ CáÏ×ã¶ âbÑâäoÂBáÑ âUá¿ãMáÚáÇåÂB âÁáäqáËáW

çÅáÚás

in it the angels and the Spirit descend by the leave of their Lord upon every command, a

peace (97:4-5)




ãoå`á·åÂB ã ÒâÃâ¦ ÔáÂãH ãUá¿áoáRåÂB âÈãMDáj

constant in blessings until the rising of the dawn




ãÐãMEá£áº åÌãÆ áÈá¿åcáF EáÇãQ ãÍãjCáRã® åÌãÆ âAEáxáÖ åÌáÆ ÔáÃá®

upon whomsoever He will of His servants according to the decision He

has made firm.




ãÐãÂD áÑ èkáäÇádâÆ ÔáÃá®

ãäÄá{ áäÈ~âÏ~áäÃÂB

O Alláh, bless Muhammad and his Household,




ãÐãXáÆåoâc áÁáÚå_ãH áÑ ãÐãÃå£á¶ áUá¶ãoå¯áÆ

CáËåÇãÏåÂáF áÑ

inspire us with knowledge of its excellence, veneration of its

inviolability,




ãÐ×ã¶ áVåoá«ác CáäÇãÆ á¬âä·ádáäXÂB áÑ

and caution against what You have forbidden within it,




áÀ×ã{Cá¯áÆ åÌá® ãbãnBáÒá`åÂB ãä¸á¿ãQ

ãÐãÆCá×ã{ ÔáÃá® CáäËã®áF áÑ

and help us to fast in it by our restraining our limbs from acts of disobedience toward

You




áÀ×ã¢åoâÖ CáÇãQ ãÐ×ã¶ CáÏãÂCáÇå¯ãXåsB áÑ

and our employing them in that which pleases You,




èÒå³áÂ ÔáÂãH EáËã®CáÇåsáGãQ áØã³å|

âÊ áÙ ÔáäXác

so that we lend not our ears to idle talk,




èÒåÏáÂ ÔáÂãH EáÊãnCá|åQáGãQ á ãoåtâÊ áÙ áÑ

and hurry not with our eyes to diversion,




ènÒâ«ådáÆ ÔáÂãH EáËáÖãkåÖáF á¨âtåR~áÊ

áÙ ÔáäXác áÑ

we stretch not our hands toward the forbidden,




ènÒâ`ådáÆ ÔáÂãH EáËãÆBákåºáGãQ áÒâ§åháÊ áÙ áÑ

and stride not with our feet toward the prohibited,




áYåÃáÃåcáF EáÆ áäÙãH EáËâÊÒâ§âQ áØã¯áW áÙ

ÔáäXác áÑ

our bellies hold only what You have made lawful,




áYåÃáä\áÆ CáÇãQ áäÙãH EáËâXáËãtåÂáF

á¼ã§åËáW áÙ áÑ

and our tongues speak only what You have exemplified,




áÀãQBáÒá[ åÌãÆ ØãÊåkâÖ CáÆ áäÙãH á¸áäÃá¿áXáÊ

áÙ áÑ

we undertake nothing but what brings close to

Your reward,




áÀãQCá»ã® åÌãÆ Øã»áÖ ÕãmáäÂB áäÙãH

Ôá¦Cá¯áXáÊ áÙ áÑ

and pursue nothing but what protects from Your punishment!




áÌ×ãMDáoâÇåÂB ãAEáÖãn åÌãÆ âÐáäÃâ¿ áÀãÂál

å}ãäÃág áäÈâ[

Then rid all of that from the false show of the false showers,




áÌ×ã¯ãÇåtâÇåÂB ãUá¯åÇâs áÑ

and the fame seeking of the fame seekers,




áÀáÊÑâj BækácáF ãÐ×ã¶ â½áoåxáÊ áÙ

lest we associate therein anything with You




á½BáÒãs BæjBáoâÆ ãÐ×ã¶ Øã³áXåRáÊ áÙ áÑ

or seek therein any object of desire but You!






O Alláh bless Muhammad and his Household,




ãuåÇáhåÂB ãVBáÒáÃáä|ÂB ãY×ãºBáÒáÆ ÔáÃá®

ãÐ×ã¶ CáËå·ãº áÑ

in it make us attend to the appointed moments of the five prayers,




áYå¢áoá¶ Ø~ãXáäÂB CáÏã¢Ñâoâ¶ áÑ áVåjáäkác

Ø~ãXáäÂB CáÎãjÑâkâdãQ

within the bounds You have set,the obligations You have decreed,




áäYáäºáÑ Ø~ãXáäÂB CáÏãWCáºåÑáF áÑ á Yå·áäªáÑ Ø~ãXáäÂB

CáÏã·ãMEáªáÑ áÑ

the duties You have assigned,and the times You have specified;




CáÏãÂãpCáËáÇãÂ áÌ×ãR×ã|âÇåÂB áUáÂãqåËáÆ CáÏ×ã¶

CáËåÂãqåÊáF áÑ

and in the prayers make us alight in the station of the keepers of their

stations,




CáÏãWCáºåÑáF Øã¶ CáÏáÂ áÌÖãäjáKâÇåÂB CáÏãÊCá¿ånáãÛ áÌ×ã«ã¶CádåÂB

the guardians of their pillars,their performers in their times,




ãÐãÂD áÑ ãÐå×áÃá® áÀâWBáÒáÃá{ áÀâÂÒâsán áÑ

á½âkåRá® âÐáäËás CáÆ ÔáÃá®

as Your servant and Your messenger set down in his Sunna (Your blessings be upon

him and his Household),




CáÎãjÒâ`âsáÑ CáÏã®Òâ¿ân Øã¶

in their bowings,their prostrations,




ãÐã³áRåsáF áÑ ãnÒâÏáä§ÂB ãäÈáWáF ÔáÃá® CáÏãÃã

¢BáÒá¶ ã°×ãÇá_ áÑ

and all their excellent acts, with the most complete and ample ritual

purity




ãÐã³áÃåQáFáÑ ã ÒâxâhåÂB ãÌá×åQáF áÑ

and the most evident and intense humility!




ãUáÃãä|ÂBáÑ ãäoãRåÂCãQ CáËáÆCácånáF áÄã|áÊ åÉáãÜ

ãÐ×ã¶ CáËå»ãä¶áÑ áÑ

Give us success in this month to tighten our bonds of kin with devotion and gifts,




ãUáä×ã§á¯åÂBáÑ ãÁCá£å¶ãåßCãQ

CáËáÊBáo×ã_ ákáÎCá¯áXáÊ åÉáF áÑ

attend to our neighbours with bestowal and giving,




ãVCá¯ãRáäXÂB áÌãÆ CáËáÂBáÒåÆáF

á}ãäÃáhâÊ åÉáF áÑ

rid our possessions from claims,




ãVBáÒá¿áäqÂB ã^BáoågãIãQ

CáÎáoãäÏá§âÊ åÉáF áÑ

purify them through paying the alms,




CáÊáoá_CáÎ åÌáÆ á°ã_BáoâÊ åÉáF áÑ

go back to him who has gone far from us,




CáËáÇáÃáª åÌáÆ á¸ã|åËâÊ åÉáF áÑ

treat justly him who has wronged us,




CáÊBájCá® åÌáÆ áÈãÂCátâÊ åÉáF áÑ

make peace with him who shows enmity toward us,




áÀáÂ áÑ áÀ×ã¶ áÕãjÒâ® åÌáÆ CáwCác

except him who is regarded as an enemy in You and for You,




ãÐ×ãÂBáÒâÊ áÙ ÕãmáäÂB âäÑâká¯åÂB âÐáäÊãIá¶

for he is the enemy whom we will not befriend,




ãÐ×ã¶Cá|âÊ áÙ ÕãmáäÂB âPåqãdåÂB áÑ

the party whom we will not hold dear,




ãUá×ã¿BáäqÂB ãÁCáÇå®áÛBB áÌãÆ ãÐ×ã¶

áÀå×áÂãH áPáäoá»áXáÊ åÉáF áÑ

and seek nearness to You through blameless works,




ãPÒâÊâämÂB áÌãÆ ãÐãQ CáÊâoãäÏá§âW CáÇãQ

which will purify us from sins,




ãPÒâ×â¯åÂB áÌãÆ â¸ãÊåGáXåtáÊ CáäÇãÆ ãÐ×ã¶ CáËâÇã|å¯áW áÑ

and preserve us from renewing faults,




áÀãXá¿ãMáÚáÆ åÌãÆ çkácáF áÀå×áÃá®

ájãnÒâÖ áÙ ÔáäXác

so that none of Your angels will bring for You




áÀáÂ ãUá®Cáä§ÂB ãPBáÒåQáF åÌãÆ âjãnÒâÊ CáÆ áÉÑâj áäÙãH

áÀå×áÂãH ãUáQåoâ»åÂB ã BáÒåÊáF áÑ

the kinds of obedience and sorts of nearness-seeking unless they be less than what we

bring!




ãoåÏáäxÂB BámáÎ ãä¼ádãQ áÀâÂáGåsáF ØãäÊãH áäÈ~âÏ~áäÃÂB

O Alláh, I ask You by the right of this month




ãÐãMEáËá¶ ãYåºáÑ ÔáÂãH ãÐãMDákãXåQB ãÌãÆ ãÐ×ã¶

áÀáÂ ákáäRá¯áW åÌáÆ ãä¼ádãQ áÑ

and by the right of him who worships You within it from its beginning to the time of

its passing,




â ÐáXåÃásånáF èäØãRáÊ åÑáF âÐáXåQáäoáº

èÀáÃáÆ åÌãÆ

whether angel You have brought near to You, prophet You have sent,




âÐáXå|á|áXågB èeãÂCá{ èkåRá® åÑáF

or righteous servant You have singled out,




ãÐãÂD áÑ èkáäÇádâÆ ÔáÃá® áØãäÃá|âW åÉáF

that You bless Muhammad and his Household,




áÀãXáÆBáoá¿ åÌãÆ á½áAEá×ãÂåÑáF áVåká®áÑ

CáÇãÂ ãÐ×ã¶ CáËåÃãäÎáF áÑ

make us worthy of the generosity You have promised Your friends,




áÀãXá®Cá¦ Øã¶ ãUá³áÂCáRâÇåÂB ãÄåÎáãÛ

áYåRá_åÑáF EáÆ ãÐ×ã¶ CáËáÂ åSã_åÑáF áÑ

make incumbent for us what You have made incumbent for those who go to great

lengths in obeying You,




áÀãXáÇåcáoãQ ÔáÃå®áÛBB á°×ã¶áäoÂB áä¼ádáXåsB ãÌáÆ

ãÈå«áÊ Øã¶ CáËåÃá¯å_B áÑ

and place us in the ranks of those who deserve through Your mercy the highest

elevation!










á½ãk×ãcåÒáW Øã¶ ájCádåÂãåßB CáËåRãäËá_

áÑ

turn us aside from deviation in professing Your Unity,




á½ãk×ã`åÇáW Øã¶ áo×ã|å»áäXÂB áÑ

falling short in magnifying You,




áÀãÃ×ãRás åÌá® ÔáÇá¯åÂBáÑ áÀãËÖãj

Øã¶ áäÀáäxÂB áÑ

in Your religion, blindness toward Your path,




ãÈ×ã_áäoÂB ãÉCá§å×áäxÂB á½ãäÑâká¯ãÂ á BákãhåÊãÙB áÑ

áÀãXáÆåoâdãÂ áÁCá·å²ãåßB áÑ

heedlessness of Your inviolability, and being deceived by Your enemy, the

accursed Satan!










BámáÎ CáÊãoåÏáw ØãÂCá×áÂ åÌãÆ èUáÃå×áÂ ãäÄâ¿ Øã¶

áÀáÂ áÉCá¿ BálãH áÑ

and when in every night of this month’s nights




áÀâdå·á{ CáÏâRáÏáÖ åÑáF á½âÒå·á® CáÏâ»ãXå¯âÖ

çPCáºãn

You have necks which Your pardon will release, and Your forgiveness

disregard,




ãPCáºãäoÂB áÀåÃãW åÌãÆ CáËáQCáºãn åÄá¯å_Cá¶

place our necks among those necks,




èPCádå{áF áÑ èÄåÎáF ãoå×ág åÌãÆ CáÊãoåÏáxãÂ

CáËåÃá¯å_B áÑ

and place us among the best folk and companions of this our month!










ãÐãÂáÚãÎ ã¹CádåÆãH á°áÆ CáËáQÒâÊâl

å¼ádåÆB áÑ

efface our sins along with the effacing of its crescent moon,




ãÐãÆCáäÖáF ãfáÚãtåÊB á°áÆ CáËãWCá¯ãRáW CáäËá® åiáÃåsB áÑ

and make us pass forth from the ill effects of our acts with the passing of

its days,




ãVCáN×ã§áhåÂB åÌãÆ ãÐ×ã¶ CáËáXå×áä·á{ åkáºáÑ CáäËá® áØã£á»åËáÖ

ÔáäXác

until it leaves us behind, while within it You have purified us of offenses




ãVCáNãä×áätÂB áÌãÆ ãÐ×ã¶ CáËáXå|áÃågáF

áÑ

and rid us of evil deeds!










CáËåÆãäÒá»á¶ ãÐ×ã¶ CáËå²âp åÉãH áÑ CáËåÂãäká¯á¶ ãÐ×ã¶

CáËåÃãÆ åÉãH áÑ

and should we go off to one side in this month, set us aright;

should we swerve, point us straight;




âÐåËãÆ CáÊåmã»åËáXåsCá¶ âÉCá§å×áäxÂB á½âäÑâká®

CáËå×áÃá® áÄáÇáXåwB ãÉãH áÑ

and should Your enemy Satan enwrap us, rescue us from him!




á½CáäÖãH EáËãWájCáRã¯ãQ âÐåËádåwB áäÈ~âÏ~áäÃÂB

O Alláh fill this month with our worship of You,




áÀáÂ CáËãXá®Cá§ãQ âÐáWCáºåÑáF åÌãäÖáp

áÑ

adorn its times with our obedience toward You,




ãÐãÆCá×ã{ ÔáÃá® ãÍãnCáÏáÊ Øã¶ CáäËã®áF

áÑ

help us during its daytime with its fast,




áÀå×áÂãH ã âäoá£áäXÂBáÑ ãTáÚáä|ÂB ÔáÃá® ãÐãÃå×áÂ Øã¶ áÑ

and in its night with prayer and pleading toward You,




áÀåÖákáÖ áÌå×áQ ãUáäÂãämÂB áÑ áÀáÂ ã

ÒâxâhåÂB áÑ

humility toward You,and lowliness before You,




è¨Öãoå·áXãQ âÐâÃå×áÂ áÙ áÑ èUáÃå·á³ãQ CáËå×áÃá®

âÍânCáÏáÊ ákáÏåxáÖ áÙ ÔáäXác

so that its daytime may not bear witness against our heedlessness,

nor its night against our neglect!




áÀãÂámá¿ ãÅCáäÖáÛBBáÑ ãnÒâÏâäxÂB ãoãMEás Øã¶

CáËåÃá¯å_B áÑ áäÈ~âÏ~áäÃÂBCáËáWåoáäÇá® CáÆ

O Alláh make us like this in the other months and days as long as You give us life,




áÌ×ãdãÂCáä|ÂB á½ãjCáRã® åÌãÆ CáËåÃá¯å_B áÑ

and place us among Your righteous servants,




áÉÑâkãÂCág CáÏ×ã¶ åÈâÎ áråÑájåoã·åÂB

áÉÒâ[ãoáÖ áÌÖãmáäÂB

those who shall inherit Paradise, therein dwelling forever, (23:11)




åÈãÏãäQán ÔáÂãH åÈâÏáäÊáF çUáÃã_áÑ åÈâÏâQÒâÃâºáÑ BåÒáWD

CáÆ áÉÒâWåKâÖ áÌÖãmáäÂB áÑáÉÒâ¯ã_Bán

those who give what they give, while their hearts quake, that they are returning to their Lord,

(23:60)




áÉÒâ»ãQCás CáÏáÂ åÈâÎáÑ ãVBáoå×áhåÂB Øã¶

áÉÒâ®ãnCátâÖ áÌÖãmáäÂB áÌãÆ áÑ

those who vie in good works, outracing to them! (23:61)






O Alláh bless Muhammad and his Household




èÁCác ãäÄâ¿ ÔáÃá® áÑ èÉBáÑáF ãäÄâ¿ áÑ èYåºáÑ ãäÄâ¿ Øã¶

in every time, in all moments, and in every state,




ãÐå×áÃá® áYå×áäÃá{ CáÆ ájáká®

to the number that You have blessed (whomsoever You have

blessed)




á½âoå×á² CáÏ×ã|ådâÖ áÙ Ø~ãXáäÂB ãµCá¯å¢áÛBCãQ ãÐãäÃâ¿ áÀãÂál áµCá¯å¢áF

áÑ

and to multiples of all that, through multiples which none can count but You!




âkÖãoâW CáÇãÂ çÁCáä¯á¶ áÀáäÊãH

Surely You are Accomplisher of what You desire.




èkáäÇádâÆ ãÁB áÑ èkáäÇádâÆ ÔÃá® ãäÄá{ áäÈâÏäÃÂáB

O Alláh send Your blessings on Muhammad
