or more impressive, successful, or advanced, or of causing somebody or something to change in this way .

Development efforts are not fulfilling the promises madein the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), to reduce poverty and improve poor peoples lives. W h y not? One fundamental reason is that policymakers and development experts do not recognise the essential rolethat information and communication play indevelopment.
