Mechanical Impact for Materials in Variable Pressure GOX and LOX

Test 13b from NASA-STD-6001

• Typical Specimen– Liquids and solids at

minimum use thickness• Test Conditions

– LOX and GOX – Worst case temperature and

pressure• Acceptance Criteria

– 20 samples must not react when impacted at 98 J

– If one sample reacts, 40 more must be tested without reactions to pass
