MEASUREMENT & EVALUATION
INTRODUCTION
The realization of educational goal & objectives in the educative process,is based on the accuracy of the judgements & inferences made by decision-makers at every stage.To arrive at good decision the test,measurements & evaluation are being used in all educational situations.
MEASUREMENT: It is a device or procedure for confronting a subject with a standard set of questions or tasks to which the student is to respond independently and the results of which can be treated as a Quatitative comparison of the performance of different students. It’s a quatitative form of assessment. EVALUATION: According to Scriven,1963-Its is a the assessment of merit and worth.According to Staffebeam- it is regarded as providing information & for decision making. It’s a quality based assessment.
