WISCONSIN’S FIRST AND ONLY CHILDREN’S BOOK FESTIVALThe Sheboygan Children’s Book Festival brings authors and illustra-tors to Sheboygan for readings, talks, workshops, and book sales and signings. Presented in partnership with community volunteers and local organizations that believe in the transformative power of reading and the literary and visual arts, the Sheboygan Children’s Book Festival is a free, public event.

SPECIAL ACTIVITIES THROUGHOUT THE FESTIVALSchmooze with favorite book characters! Say hello and take a photo! Mead Public Library hosts Pig from If You Give a Pig a Pancake, John Michael Kohler Arts Center hosts Lilly, and Bookworm Gardens hosts Curious George. Appearance times vary. Saturday and Sunday.

Culinary Art Car Enjoy snacks and entertainment and explore the Culinary Art Car. Near the main entrance of the Kohler Arts Center. Friday at 5:30 – 6:30 and Saturday at 10:00 – 4:00.

Collectible author & illustrator trading cards Trading cards will be handed out to children and teens after each author/illustrator presentation, at each of our three festival venues. Collect them all and get them autographed!

Early Childhood Exploration Join the staff of the Kohler Arts Center for hands-on art-making inspired by the current exhibition. Saturday at 10:00 – 4:00 in the Preschool Classroom.

Book Sales Book sales and signing events will follow each author/illustrator presentation. Book World, the 2014 SCBF bookseller, will donate 20% of festival book sale proceeds to benefit future Sheboygan Children’s Book Festivals, helping to keep this annual community event free and open to all.

Snacks and lunch are served! Snacks are provided during Saturday presentations in the Maas Teen Learning Center at Mead Public Library. Also on Saturday, a food truck will be positioned near Mead Public Library from 10:00 – 5:00. At the Kohler Arts Center, enjoy the cuisine of the ARTcafe, open daily 10:00 – 3:00.

Curious George, Live! Join the inquisitive, lovable little monkey Curious George in this de-lightful new musical produced by the award-winning Theatreworks, USA. Children who show a 2014 author/illustrator trading card will receive $2 off the ticket price. Sunday at 3:00 at the Stefanie H. Weill Center for the Performing Arts.
