New Start & Dismissal Times

This school year , McGary has adopted a new start and dismissal time. School starts

promptly at 7:25 a.m. and dismisses at 2:30pm.

From the McGary Middle School Handbook: Tardiness to school: If you arrive late to

1st period you are considered late to school. You will need to report to the Office for a pass.

Doctor and dental appointments with a doctor’s statement will be considered excused.

Unexcused tardies to school are cummlative over the period of a semester. A little

late is too late. To prepare our students for high school, McGary will follow the following tardy

Policy:

5 Tardies– A warning letter will be given to the Student informing them of

the tardies.

10 Tardies- After School Detention Forms will be given to the Student first, this

form needs to be signed and returned to the office. AEA Coordinator will call home for each student.

15 Tardies– AEA (in school Suspension) will be assigned by Mrs. Schwartz.

(Assistant Principal)

25 Tardies– Mrs. Schwartz will call Parent and a form will be sent home with

student.
