SALEM, Ore. – The No. 12 Eastern Oregon University

men’s basketball won its 15th game of the season Saturday

with an 82-71 victory over Corban University.

The Mountaineers (15-3) (7-2) are off to their best start

The first half went back and forth and featured four lead changes along with three ties. Corban’s

The Warriors last lead came after a Jake Mauermann three-pointer with 14:36 remaining in the

first half, 10-9. Eastern responded with a 24-6 run capped by lay-up from Travares Peterson with

3:39 left until halftime. EOU took a 39-26 lead into the locker room at halftime.

20 points three times in the second half. Corban chipped into a 65-45 lead and came within six

points, 77-71, with 41 seconds left in regulation.

Both teams shot 44 percent from the field and 30 percent from behind the perimeter. The

Mountaineers made 9 of their 30 three-point attempts, and Corban hit 7 of its 23 shots from

half, and also added a game-high eight assists. Mauermann added 15 points and Jacob Kopra
