NURTURING
MANAGERIAL
EXCELLENCE
Shri Gajanan Shikshan Sanstha’s Department of Business Administration &
Students’ Seminars and Presentations etc. are truly proving effective in building learning
environment in the department. We have added from this year Case Analysis Competition to
harness the analytical skills amongst our students. All these activities are students centered
and students driven with faculty support from the back for a guided learning and
growth amongst our students. Rigorous class room sessions of four hours‐a‐day and case
sessions of two hours‐a‐ day coupled with frequent assignments and continuous evaluation
activities are held as per affiliating university regulations. We reiterate that our location, in
the rural area, is by default but our intentions are by designs and we continue adding many
more dimensions significant for true management education.
MSME‐DI (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Institute), Nagpur sponsored
various Skills Development Programmes e.g. BSDP, ESDP, MSDP and MDP, SEBI (Securities
Exchange Board of India), Mumbai sponsored series of Financial Education Workshops for
different target groups, local industries associations (such as Global Trust Saturday Club,
Akola Chapter) sponsored workshops, lectures, MDPs, extension lectures by faculty members
are being conducted by the department on regular basis. These are in addition to sponsored
and doctoral research projects ongoing in the department which speaks volumes about the
quality of the faculty members of the department who have been drawn from a diverse group
of institutions including IIM, NIT, autonomous institutions, university departments and
some of whom are already having international assignments.
Third time accreditation by the National Board of Accreditation, AICTE, New Delhi
awarded during the year 2013 makes us a singular institution with such distinction in the
whole of Vidarbha region. Rating of our MBA course by independent national level
B‐Schools Surveys by Business India (A‐Grade), Go‐ Education (A++ Grade), Careers360
(AA+ Grade) etc. has been another feather in its cap.
We very humbly place before the corporate world our 19th batch of MBA grads, with dual specialization in a couple of functional areas, giving a brief about their credentials contained in the subsequent pages of this brochure for consideration against suitable corporate responsibilities. We are sure our recruiters would have a more encouraging experience with this batch of our students than has been the case with the previous batches as we seek to better ourselves year after year.
