Discover the MBA with a mission: producing a new type of business leader.

The Johns Hopkins Carey Business School’s Global MBA program is rooted in the strengths of Johns Hopkins University—a world leader in medicine, science, technology, the humanities, and education—to produce a transformative business degree. Graduates are the global leaders of tomorrow who possess the skills and confidence to tackle society’s biggest challenges while also exercising collaborative, sustainable, and conscientious business practices.

Students in this flagship, full-time, 54-credit, two-year program engage in a demanding and inspiring course of study that focuses on business essentials, advanced business methods, real-world experience, and leadership skills.

Program features include:• A choice of concentrations in financial businesses, marketing, real estate and infrastructure,

entrepreneurship, health care management, or enterprise risk managment.• The Innovation for Humanity Project, a semester-long course that includes a three-week,

international experience. The course develops agile and creative business leaders who understand how to build sustainable businesses in emerging markets. Students travel to developing nations to help solve business problems impacting the health and well-being of local populations.

• The Discovery to Market Project, which focuses on the concepts and organizational issues involved in transforming an invention into a viable commercial enterprise. Students work closely with inventors and entrepreneurs to find ways of commercializing the latest and most promising scientific breakthroughs.

• Thought and Discourse Seminars, which examine key issues in communication, governance, and ethical leadership in a format that stimulates intellectual inquiry and debate.

The Global MBA program attracts a global student body—students from the best companies and universities from around the world. Each class is carefully selected so that at least 50 percent of the students are from outside the United States. This rich international mix enhances the educational experience of all Global MBA students, who are taught by Johns Hopkins experts and leading professionals in the corporate, government, and nonprofit sectors.

The Global MBA program is based at Carey’s Harbor East campus in Baltimore. The strategic proximity to Washington, D.C., and New York provides convenient access to government and financial institutions such as the IMF, World Bank, U.S. Congress, and United Nations, as well as many Fortune 500 companies and Wall Street firms.
