Come learn how to play this ancient math game and then have fun with your family creating your own Mancala game to take home.

Learning Together Math KitsWhen you come in for the Learning Together Family Math programs, take a look at the new math kits that are available for you to borrow. Each kit focuses on a different area of math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions. Help your child improve his or her math skills by borrowing one of these fun kits. Ask a children’s librarian for more information. Kits are available on May 1.

Facilitated enrollers from the Nassau-Suffolk Hospital Council will be at the library to assist people in applying for Child Health Plus, Family Health Plus, and Medicaid. Wednesdays, 6:00-7:30 p.m. Come to our chat group where we will reviewcommon workplace vocabulary and situations

that will help you gain more confidence speaking English in the work environment.

These classes emphasize Conversational English, Listening/Speaking and Communication Skills, Grammar, Vocabulary, and Writing. Classes are available from Basic/Beginner to Advanced.

The Brentwood Public Library, in partnership with the Brentwood Public School District, offers ESL (English as a Second Language) classes to adults.

The library now has discounted tickets to the Long Island Aquarium & Exhibition Center in Riverhead. $16.50 for all ages includes general admission, the Butterfly Exhibit, and the Exotic Bird Aviary. Regular aquarium admission tickets are $21.00 for kids, $23.50 for seniors and $27.95 for adults. Tickets do not expire; however they are not replaceable or refundable.
