DAY ONE – Our Adventure Begins!Our Emerald Coast adventure begins with a stop in the “LandBetween the Lakes” region of Western Kentucky for dinner at Patti’s1880s Settlement. Opened in 1977 as a hamburger and ice creamparlor, Patti’s has grown into a local institution serving a variety ofgreat food, and is known for their award winning one-inch porkchop, which is charbroiled to perfection. Later, we continue to ourhotel in Clarksville, Tennessee. Dinner

DAY TWO – Jimmy Carter and Mary MacArriving in Atlanta we visit the Jimmy Carter Presidential Libraryand Museum. Here, you’ll see the extensive collection of photo-graphs and historical memorabilia from the Carter presidency (1977– 1981) as well as an exact replica of the Oval Office from the WhiteHouse. You will also see the many gifts the Carters have receivedalong with a display focusing on the Carter’s humanitarian work.Tonight we are treated to true Southern made-from-scratch fareserved with genuine Southern hospitality at Mary Mac’s Tea Room.Since opening her doors in 1945 Mary McKenzie’s is the last of the16 Tea Rooms that once dotted intown Atlanta in the 1940s. MaryMac’s great tradition of Southern cuisine and warm hospitality hasremained the same. Breakfast and dinner

DAY THREE – Plains, Georgia National Historic SiteTraveling south from Atlanta we make a stop in Plains, Georgia, aNational Historic Site and home of former president Jimmy Carter.We’ll visit Plains High School which serves as the park museum andvisitor center. Here, you will find restored and furnished classroom,principal’s office and auditorium. Later, we travel through Alabamabefore arriving on Florida’s Emerald Coast, our home for the nextthree nights. Breakfast

DAY FOUR – Touring on the Emerald CoastWe begin our touring today at the Destin History & FishingMuseum. Here, we learn the history of the region through the manydisplays and exhibits. The museum features an extensive example ofthe fish caught in the area and a large collection of antique fishingrods and reels including a split bamboo rod with Penn Reel whichbelonged to Ernest Hemingway. You’ll also see the oldest seine fish-ing boat in existence, The Primrose, which was built in 1925 andlearn why Destin is considered the “Luckiest Fishing Village in theWorld.” At the Air Force Armament Museum you’ll experience avi-ation warfare armament from the early days of World War I rightthrough to today’s high tech planes and bombs. Inside, you’ll find anextensive collection of weaponry and interactive displays that will

amaze and intrigue. Outside displays are highlighted by thefastest plane ever built, the SR-71 Blackbird. Tonight, dinneris at the Magnolia Grill of Fort Walton Beach. Locateddowntown Fort Walton Beach, Magnolia Grill is as much adining room as it is a museum. The walls of this 1910 “cat-alog” house are covered with pieces of local history includ-ing pictures of the people and places that tell the many sto-ries of the area. The owners Tom and Peggy Rice have hand-picked the menu which includes selections from land or seaand features a cup of Tom’s gumbo whose raves have beenheard all the way back to Louisiana. Breakfast and dinner

DAY FIVE – Chickamauga National Military Park and the “Battle Above the Clouds”We begin the day with a visit to America’s first and largest NationalMilitary Park at Chickamauga. The park commemorates Civil Warsoldiers from both sides, features an audio visual presentation andhouses the Fuller Gun collection. High atop Lookout Mountain theBattles for Chattanooga Museum includes an electronic map of thearea’s battles and a visit to Park Point is highlighted by JamesWalker’s painting The Battle of Lookout Mountain which becameknown as the “Battle Above the Clouds.” Breakfast

DAY SIX – Falcon Rest Mansion and the Battle of FranklinToday we are greeted by Gen. John Hunt Morgan and are invited tohis Honeymoon Ball in beautiful Falcon Rest Mansion, aptly called“Tennessee’s Biltmore.” The town of Franklin was the scene of thefive bloodiest hours of the American Civil War. We’ll visit CarntonPlantation and learn how this home was used as a field hospital forwounded Confederate soldiers while the battle raged around it. Astop at Carter House shows us a modest brick home, riddled withbullet holes. It was commandeered and used as a Federal commandpost. At the end of the Keweenaw Peninsulastands the Fort Wilkins Historic Complex, a well-preserved nine-teenth-century military post and lighthouse complex. Guaranteed Share Program for Single TravelersWe make it easy for single travelers to reduce their tour costs with ourGuaranteed Share Program. If you are traveling alone, are a non-smok-er, and would like a roommate for cost savings, let us know at least 30days before departure. You will be paired with another traveler of thesame gender at the twin rate. If no roommate is available, you will geta single room yet only pay the twin price.

Roommate CancellationIf you are booked as a “twin” and your roommate cancels their reserva-tion, and you cannot find another roommate, you may either travel asa guaranteed share (see above) or travel as a single and pay the singlesupplement.

Health and Walking on Tour Some sites visited have limited motorcoach access and may involve con-siderable walking, stairs or inclines. Travelers should be in reasonablygood health. Some programs include destinations in higher elevationsthat may have varying effects on individual travelers. Tour Managersand Coach Drivers cannot lift or assist travelers into transportationvehicles. Mayflower Tours requires that persons requiring assistance beaccompanied by a companion who is capable of and totally responsiblefor providing the assistance.

Revision FeesA fee of $25 per person per transaction will be charged for any changes,revisions or alterations made to your reservation after confirmation.

Luggage HandlingThe tour cost includes porterage for one average size suitcase. A chargeof $5.00 per hotel will be collected by the Tour Manager for each addi-tional piece of luggage that you bring.

Travel DocumentsYour travel documents will be in your possession approximately 14 daysprior to departure. Documents include tour itinerary, departure and arrivalinformation and times, hotel information, clothing suggestions, baggagetags, plus any helpful hints.

Mayflower Money,First Time Traveler and Referral RewardsEvery day you are on tour, you'll earn travel credits for future travel(Mayflower Money) with Mayflower Tours. The more you travel the moreyou save.

Travelers new to Mayflower Tours are provided with First Time Traveleradditional savings of up to $50 per person. Available at the request of indi-vidual tour members, the savings can be combined with other offers at thetime of your reservation.

With Mayflower's Referral Rewards program you will earn up to $50 savingson your next Mayflower holiday for each of your friends that travel for thefirst time. Share the names and addresses of your friends - they will receivebrochures and a First Time Traveler certificate as stated above.

Smoke Free EnvironmentAlthough smoking is not allowed on the motorcoach, frequent rest/smok-ing stops are made.

MembershipTour membership is available to all travelers. If special requirements of anindividual are requested, and these requirements add to the TourOperator's cost, the Tour Member will be responsible to pay the addition-al costs. The Tour Manager retains the right to terminate the membershipof any Member if any physical or mental handicap becomes apparent whileon tour and causes hardship to the Tour Manager and/or other TourMembers. Children must be six years of age or older.

You will note that the first category includes an optional CancellationFee Waiver (CFW) which is to be paid within five business days after yourreservation. Refund and Cancellation PolicyAll payments for land and cruise arrangements (less the deposit amount which isnon-refundable) will be refunded when cancellations are made more than 30 daysprior to departure. If you purchase the optional Cancellation Fee Waiver (CFW),you will be refunded all payments including the deposit amount, less the premi-um amount for the CFW provided we are notified of the cancellation prior to theday of departure.

“Freedom to Travel” GuaranteeOn those rare occasions when the Exclusions mentioned above make it nec-essary to modify its Refund and Cancellation Policy, Mayflower's "FreedomTo Travel" Guarantee will take effect for those passengers who purchased theCancellation Fee Waiver. This Guarantee will allow travelers to apply allmonies paid to Mayflower Tours, including the Cancellation Fee Waiver,toward any future Mayflower tour that departs within 12 months of theirnotification.

What is Not Included on the TourExcess luggage charges; items of a personal nature; meals not included on theitinerary; sightseeing attractions listed as “optional excursions;” and gratu-ities to the Tour Manager, motorcoach driver, van or limo driver and localguides.

Entry into Canada, Mexico and the CaribbeanA valid passport is required for entry into Canada, Mexico and theCaribbean. No other documents will be accepted. Non-citizens must have avalid passport, visa or alien card which permits entry into these areas. Inaddition they will need a “multiple entry” visa for return to U.S.

Cancellation Fee Waiver (CFW) Motorcoach Tours To protect you against cancellation fees should you have to cancel yourtour or interrupt your tour en route, we have added an optional $60Cancellation Fee Waiver (CFW) in our deposit schedule. The CFW isnon-refundable and non-transferable. The CFW cannot be transferred toanother reservation, departure date or tour after booking has been made.Changing an existing booking to another date or tour will result in losingthe CFW premium paid on the original booking. If you do not wish to pur-chase the CFW, simply deposit the “without CFW” amount. This non-refundable fee waives all cancellation fees and penalties, provided we arenotified of the cancellation one day before your tour departs.

While on tour, if a passenger must leave early due to a personal illness, ill-ness or death of a member of the immediate family or a traveling compan-ion, the purchase of the Cancellation Fee Waiver guarantees full refund forany unused services. For motorcoach tours, return transportation will beprovided (the mode of transportation will be determined at the discretionof Mayflower Tours.)The injury or sickness must be, in the written opin-ion of a physician, so disabling as to cause a trip to be interrupted and mustrequire the care and attendance by a physician at the place of occurrence.

This program has certain exclusions. Mayflower Tours reserves the right toalter its Refund and Cancellation Policy when a substantial amount of can-cellation or postponement of travel is attributable to: conditions resultingfrom an act of God, natural or man-made disaster, fire, government action,civil disorder, war, hostilities between nations, or unavailability of trans-portation through no fault of Mayflower Tours.

“Freedom to Travel” Guarantee - On those rare occasions when theExclusions mentioned above make it necessary to modify its Refund andCancellation Policy, Mayflower's "Freedom To Travel" Guarantee will takeeffect for those passengers who purchased the Cancellation Fee Waiver.This Guarantee will allow travelers to apply all monies paid to MayflowerTours, including the Cancellation Fee Waiver, toward any futureMayflower tour that departs within 12 months of their notification.

Cancellation Fee Waiver (CFW) is not an insurance. It is a self-fundedrefund and waiver program for cancellations and early departures fromtour programs, and contains various exclusions. If actual insurance cover-age is desired for occurrences such as travel delay; lost, stolen or damagedluggage; medical and emergency medical transportation; supplier default;or related services, then it is strongly recommended that a traveler contacta travel insurance company. It is also recommended if a traveler desires atrip cancellation refund program not funded by Mayflower Tours, that atravel insurance company be contacted. One firm offering some or all ofthese services is MH Ross Travel Insurance Plan (1-800-423-3632).
