• Miracles attributed to him include thedrivingofserpentsoutofIreland.However,evidencesuggestspost-glacialIrelandneverhadanysnakesinthefirstplace.
• Wearing green, eating green food andeven drinking green beer, is said tocommemorate St Patrick’s use of theshamrock-althoughbluewastheoriginalcolourofhisvestments.
