With summer holidays upon us, the searches around domestic travel destinations increase. Most of the planning for international destinations is over by this time.

The further the destination from home city the earlier it will be searched. As you can see from the graph, searches around Kerala peak far before searches around Himachal or Manali.

Yes.. We know we just got out of the world cup, but have you checked your social feed? It is already full of your friends cheering their favourite team. You can’t hide from it even if you wanted.

While there is a lot of buzz around the world cup throughout the tournament, typically, the interest and the searches increases around the beginning of the tournament, then drops a little and then surges around the quarter finals and peaks during the finals.

Also, more and more people are looking to stay fit. Natural cures for common cold and other allergies also increase during this time. This is a great time for brands to jump into relevant conversation and be a great resource for their audience.

Hot weather, cool food

As the temperatures rise, searches around summer food go up. Summer recipes get searched predominantly from South India. While north India searches more for easy recipes for kids.

Searches around must have foods in summer and seasonal fruits go up. Mango is a clear winner though, with searches around aam panna, aam ras etc increasing through the month. Content around summer drinks and coolers get consumed a lot and are also shared extensively.

There are some great events lined up this month to engage with your users. Summer vacations will dominate mind space for both May and June.
