EnglertsThe Englert Family were long time residence of Mesquite for 10 years before recently moving to Forney. The family has not only made Forney their home but opened an indoor baseball training facility to serve the community and surrounding area—Elite Swing Academy.

Tom Englert, served as a teacher in Mesquite ISD for 8 years and currently is a Behavior Specialist for a total of 13 years with MISD. He enjoys coaching baseball, fishing and spending time at home with his family.

Leeann Englert, has been a teacher at Pirrung Elementary for 8 years where she has taught 3rd, 4th and 5th grade during her tenure. Recently she earned her Masters’ Degree from UT Arlington as a Reading Specialist. She enjoys watching her children participate in activities and is an avid reader.

The Englert Family includes three children, Mason, Jordan, and Jillian. Mason is a 13- year- old 7th grader at Warren Middle School in Forney. He is an avid select baseball player, played football and basketball for Warren this past school year. Mason also enjoys Fishing in his down time.

Jordan is an 11- year- old 6th grader at Johnson Elementary in Forney. She is Johnson Elementary School’s spelling bee champion. She will be on Warren Middle School’s 7th grade cheer squad when she starts there in the fall. Jordan also is a gymnast with a passion for training dogs and riding horses.

Jillian is a 7 –year- old 2nd grader at Pirrung Elementary in Mesquite. She is also a gymnast that has played fastpitch softball. Jillian enjoys time with her family as well as spending time playing with her neighborhood friends.

Expiration of Payroll Tax Holiday – An additional 2 percent tax on wages and self-employment income on earnings up to $ 113,700.
