Greetings Lindenwald Church Family, with the grace and peace of Jesus Christ, our wonderful Lord, friend and Savior! In Pauls Epistle of Joy, the letter to the Philippians, he writes, I thank my God every time I remember you, con- stantly praying with joy in every one of my prayers for all of you, because of your sharing in the gospel from the first day until now. I am confident of this, that the one who began a good work among you will bring it to completion by the day of Jesus Christ.During this season, as I have considered the efforts and graces of our own community, I am compelled to covey these same words to you. I thank God every time I think of you because you are walking through this messy time faith- fully, with patience and a heart for Jesus. There are so many things to say thank you for. I have heard and seen so many wonderful examples of the gospel in our church since all of this began. You have prayed, cried and sat in silence with one another over the phone or online. You have been en- couraging one another. You have been holding down the fort in the church building and office. You have been helping with online worship. You have been praying in the stillness of your own home for other members miles away. You have been bringing food by for our pantry. You have been watch- ing and worshipping online, participating from a distance but in the Spirit. You have been sharing Christs love online and through text message. You have been giving to our church and to our mission so that we can continue to strive to make disciples even now. You have been leaders. You have been prayer warriors. You have been listeners. You have been treasurers. You have been trustees. You have been minis- ters. You have been disciples. Thank You! In the days ahead there may be many unknowns but there are so many things that we can be thankful for and we should strive to recognize these things. This has become more of a spiritual discipline for me. I can always find some- thing to be discouraged by but the real jewel, the true treas- ure to be discovered, is the work of God in the middle of all that. It is in this way that the good work that our Lord began in us will continue to develop and grow until the day of Je- susreturn. Please know that I am praying for you each day. Please con- tinue to pray for me and for our leadership. Pray for our board as we begin the work of discerning Gods desires for how we should come back together. By walking and working prayerfully together we will continue to witness to the gos- pel of grace that our community is founded upon. Thankyou for being faithful followers of Jesus Christ no mat- ter the situation, the time or the feeling. And may our Lord Jesus Christ lead you into all joy, peace, kindness, gentleness and love during this time. May he bless you with new revela- tion of his truth and new avenues for his love. May he com- plete the good work he has begun in you. In the love, grace and gratitude of our Lord Jesus Christ. Rev. Greetings Lindenwald Church Family, with the grace and peace of Jesus Christ, our wonderful Lord, friend and Savior! In Paul’s Epistle of Joy, the letter to the Philippians, he

writes, “I thank my God every time I remember you, con-

stantly praying with joy in every one of my prayers for all of

you, because of your sharing in the gospel from the first day

until now. I am confident of this, that the one who began a

good work among you will bring it to completion by the day

of Jesus Christ.”

During this season, as I have considered the efforts and

graces of our own community, I am compelled to covey

these same words to you. I thank God every time I think of

you because you are walking through this messy time faith-

fully, with patience and a heart for Jesus. There are so many

things to say thank you for. I have heard and seen so many

wonderful examples of the gospel in our church since all of

this began. You have prayed, cried and sat in silence with

one another over the phone or online. You have been en-

couraging one another. You have been holding down the

fort in the church building and office. You have been helping

with online worship. You have been praying in the stillness

of your own home for other members miles away. You have

been bringing food by for our pantry. You have been watch-

ing and worshipping online, participating from a distance but

in the Spirit. You have been sharing Christ’s love online and

through text message. You have been giving to our church

and to our mission so that we can continue to strive to make

disciples even now. You have been leaders. You have been

prayer warriors. You have been listeners. You have been

treasurers. You have been trustees. You have been minis-

ters. You have been disciples. Thank You!

In the days ahead there may be many unknowns but there

are so many things that we can be thankful for and we

should strive to recognize these things. This has become

more of a spiritual discipline for me. I can always find some-

thing to be discouraged by but the real jewel, the true treas-

ure to be discovered, is the work of God in the middle of all

that. It is in this way that the good work that our Lord began

in us will continue to develop and grow until the day of Je-

sus’ return.

Please know that I am praying for you each day. Please con-

tinue to pray for me and for our leadership. Pray for our

board as we begin the work of discerning God’s desires for

how we should come back together. By walking and working

prayerfully together we will continue to witness to the gos-

pel of grace that our community is founded upon.

Thankyou for being faithful followers of Jesus Christ no mat-

ter the situation, the time or the feeling. And may our Lord

“There are not words that can express our

gratitude to our church family for the love and

support shown to Patrick and myself during

my illness and Ralph’s leaving us. I want to

thank each and every one of you for your love

and support. Pastor Rob had a hard task

doing that type of service but he did a

beautiful job and Ralph would have loved it.

Again, thank you so much.” - Sis Rimer

STEPHEN MINISTRY—CARING CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

When someone you know is hurting, it can be tough to know

what to say. There is no magic formula, but here are three

caring phrases that can make a difference:

1. “I’m sorry this happened to you.”

2. “That sounds so hard.”

3. “ I’m here and I’m listening.”

A caring word spoken with sincerity, a smile, an attitude of “I

SEE YOU” can make a difference in someone’s life who is

experiencing difficulties. We are all caregivers in some form

or another to others. Caregiving can, also, be in the form of a

planned, one-to-one caring relationship between a person

who is hurting and a trained Stephen Minister.

Since 1996, Lindenwald UMC has been offering STEPHEN

MINISTRY training classes for those members who have a

calling into a deeper Christian caring ministry. These folks

are STEPHEN MINISTERS and are available to meet on a

regular, one-to-one basis, for as long as necessary, with any-

one who is hurting. If you are interested in this rewarding

opportunity, please contact Neil or Julia Hayes @ 867-1027,

Nancy McCormick @ 374-3179 or Pastor Rob @ 863-8822

for more information.

*******************************

The Missions Committee is compiling a list of volunteer

opportunities and would like some ideas for future

projects. Please contact Edie Simons @ 513-313-6154

with any questions or to discuss any suggestions that

you may have.

LUMC Children/Youth Program

The Children's/Youth Program is in need of volun-

teers . Contact Lisa Gebhart @ 513-203-3587 for in-

formation.

We have partnered with the UMC Food Ministry to

provide food for our Children's/Youth Program. They

are providing them with a variety of cereal , breakfast

and lunch items, fresh fruits and vegetables, along

with milk and juice.
