SOCIAL MEDIA SPOTLIGHT Last year, the HR department launched a social media iniave centered around the UMSL.jobs career markeng brand in an effort to aract top talent to the university. Across several channels - including Facebook, Twier, Google+, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and YouTube - the recruitment team has worked to find new and unique ways to engage career minded members of the community while also showcasing and reaching out to the current campus community. One of the most significant efforts on this front has been a series of UMSL vid- eos (hp://www.umsl.edu/services/hrs/forms.html#videos). With a few clicks interested pares can learn more about our employee discount program, our online training system, our staff mentoring program and more (employees with Internet Explorer should scroll down to the Videos heading). With most UMSL employees having access to computers at work, internet usage becoming an everyday occurrence, and the use of social media becoming more prevalent, it is important for employees to keep in mind that University policy establishes restricons on the use of informaon technology resources provided by the University and describes circum- stances under which the University may examine informaon accessed through University networks or equipment. SUMMER 2013 METRO PASSES
Employees can still purchase a Summer 2013 Metro pass (valid until August 17, 2013) for $65. Passes can be purchased in
the Cashier’s Office (285 Millennium Student Center). This pass allows for unlimited access to Metrobus and Metrolink
service during the 2013 Summer Semester. As a 30-day pass purchased directly from Metro costs $72, this pass
represents a significant cost savings.
A valid UMSL employee, volunteer, or vendor id is required when using the Metro pass.
