The Executive Committee (EC) has earmarked the net proceeds from the “Gulzar” event for “HARI Facility
Improvement and Beautification” Projects. Subject to the availability of funds, the Board of Trustees (BOT) has
approved the following two Capital Projects for 2013. The initial estimate is about $100,000 for these two
important projects. We appeal all devotees to support these projects generously in the coming days:

Message From the Chairman Dear Devotees, HARI EC is continuing to provide all the devotees with well-organized Religious and Cultural programs. All of you have been supporting with your attendance in large numbers. As I said in the New Year Havan, all the devotees can contribute to HARI with the 3 Ts- our Time , Talent and Treasure in whatever combination possible. Each one of us should ask ourselves about our contribution to HARI in these terms as all are capable in one or more ways. As per the bylaws of HARI, all the past Presidents and past Chairs of BOT are part of the advisory committee. We have never used this resource for its experience and wisdom. We would like to call a special meeting of all the Past Presidents and Past BOT Chairs on Sunday, June 9th between 3-5 PM to update you on the current state of HARI and seek your guidance for future direction. Please consider this as an open invitation. I will also try to personally contact you from the list available in the latest HARI directory. Please try to attend and help guide HARI in its onward journey.

HARI Seniors’ Center As promised at the annual General Body meeting (Diwali Annakut 2012), HARI is pleased to announce the formation of HARI Seniors’ Center (HSC). HSC will undertake activities that are specific and dedicated to our seniors (age 60+). Mr. Mafat Patel, a member of the Board of Trustees, will lead the Seniors Center efforts. Mr. Mafat Patel will be Chair HARI Seniors’ Center (HSC) committee. If you are interested in serving HSC, please contact Mr. Mafat Patel or HARI President Mr. Harish Patel. As a part of HARI activity, Seniors Center was inaugurated by Dr. Rajesh Varma's seminar on "how to make life healthier" with lifestyle changes in a present day living. Dr. Varma addressed a group of about 70 people who actively participated for more than two hours of lecture and question-answer session with lots of useful information of preserving / enhancing physical and mental health. Group enjoyed his Aurvedic expertise and many years of practice. Attending devotees asked health related questions and useful answers were the rewarding experience. Food/Prasad service was provided to all devotees and guests. HARI School
HARI School students continue to learn Indian languages, Hindu Culture, and Hindu Religion while having fun at the same time. On February 24, students participated in the Vasant Panchmi celebration and performed Saraswati Puja. This year, Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh has organized “Dharma Bee” at the national level in celebration of Swami Vivekanand’s 150th birth anniversary. Over three thousand students participated nationwide. Under able the guidance of HARI’s Religion-II teacher Dr. Dinesh Pai, total 18 students took part in the Dharma Bee. The 18 participants took the Level-I examination on March 23, of which eight HARI School students have moved to Level-II of Dharma Bee. We wish them the best of luck. HARI School students participated in the Holi event on April 7. The students performed prayers, skits, and folk dances. The program was well attended and devotees thoroughly enjoyed the event. The students are now preparing for the School Graduation program, which will be on June 9. Please plan to attend the program and continue to support our students.

Thanks to the generosity of some HARI devotees to enable us to do so. The HARI temple scholarship has been established to provide scholarships to deserving high school seniors throughout Central Pennsylvania for advancing their education. Annamyya dedicated his life for composing and singing the glories of Lord Venkateswara of Tirupati. It is believed that he composed over 32,000 songs praising the Lord Venkateswara. His songs were preserved and propagated by the Tirumala temple. Annamacharya Aaradhana is the celebration of Annaymayya's 605th birth anniversary. The Aradhana is celebrated by singing his compositions and finally concluding with group singing of his Saptagiri (7 hills) Kirtans.
