7 things you can do in a small storeto get it right.We spend a lot of time in the field visiting large and smallstores alike. Regardless of size, we have identified 7 simplethings that can help your customers find what they wantand help you increase profits along the way.
1. Design your store for maximum appeal: Choosethoughtful fixtures to get the most merchandisingspace out of your environment. Take some time tothink it through and do some research as to the cost ofthe new fixture or fixtures. Summer is a great time todo a redesign.
2. Make shopping easy: When designing or redesigningyour store consider providing product pairings thatcomplement your big ticket items. Grouping Stormcleaners and polishes with Storm performance bowlingballs will no doubt lead to additional sales.
3. Make shopping convenient: If you have a website, letthem buy at home and then pick it up in your storewhen it's convenient for them. Or just offer call-aheadservice. Let them place their order by phone and swingby and pick it up. Either way you're getting the sale andhelping your customer have a better shoppingexperience.
4. Offer complementary services: Create a small spot forfresh brewed coffee and/or cookies or alike. This willallow your customer to feel more at home and lessrushed.
5. Bring shoppers together: Host your own "How To"demonstrations in your store and encourage yourcustomers to attend and bring a friend. These simplegestures will show your customers how much you careand how much you know in a nice way.
