Needlecraft Ministry There has been an interest shown for a night time needlecraft meeting. We will meet for the first Thursday, May 18th at 7:00pm here in the church Library. For more information, contact Cynthia Littlejohn at 812-394-2485.

5th Annual Open Arms Spirit Run

The 5th Annual Spirit Run/Walk will be taking place June 3rd in Worthington City Park, Worthington, IN. If you or someone you know would like to sponsor this event, or would like to register to participate in the run, go to

www.openarmschristian.com/InfoEvents.html. You can also call Karen at 812-659-2533 ext. 212. Registration begins at 7:00am; Fun Runs start: 8:00am; Runners/Walkers start: 8:30am. Entry fees: $15 per person, early registration, $10 per person Fun Runs for Kids.

Ladies Retreat to the Gasthof Village in Montgomery, IN

For those of you who have signed up for the Ladies Retreat on June 2-3, we will be leaving from the church parking lot at

4:45pm Friday afternoon (June 2nd). Please let Misty Hunt know if you will be riding down with the group, or driving separately to the Gasthof Village Inn.

Tim Hawkins Show, Christian Comedian On Saturday, July 29th at 7:00pm at the Murat Theatre in Indianapolis, Tim Hawkins will be performing his Christian Comedy Show. There is a group being put together for this event, if you would like to attend. The signup sheet is on the

table in the foyer. Tickets will be approximately $35 each for balcony seats. See Cheryl or Alicia Alumbaugh for questions.

Youth Group (Grades 6-12)! We will not meet tonight due to Mother's Day. We will be back next week at 6:00pm. Join us on Tuesday nights at 6:30pm. We are still on our basics of Christianity study. This week we will finish up our study and talk about heaven.Remember, Sunday school starts at 9:00am in the Upper Room and don't forget

to invite a friend to all of our events. See you soon!

Move-Athon for Freedom & CHANGE for CHANGE

FBC is partnering with International Justice Missions to raise awareness of modern day slavery & human trafficking. FBC will be hosting a Move-Athon on September 9th from 10:00am –1:00pm in our parking lot. We are currently collecting CHANGE for CHANGE. The collection jars are located at the Welcome Center and other locations in the foyer. Help us fight this battle of slavery with International Justice Missions.

Graduation Sunday Recognition If there are those within our congregation who are graduating from High School or College, please let Dusty or someone in the office know. Thank you! Graduation recognition will be

VBS 2017 VBS will be July 9th—13th(Sunday-Thursday) from 6:00-8:30pm. If you are interested in volunteering, please see the signup sheets at the table in the foyer. For any questions, see

Alison Lane or Michelle Kemp. If you want to order a t-shirt, they are $8 each, and can be ordered at the VBS table.

Ladies Night Out The Ladies Night Out dinner will be Friday, June 23rd at 6:30pm at Backstreet’s Pizza in Sullivan. There will be a signup sheet soon, or you can contact Pam Jennings at 240-3042, so she can make reservations.

On the menu this week: Biscuits & Gravy & Scrambled Eggs! If you are attending the Tuesday evening Bible studies, we invite you to

come and eat before the studies! With the larger crowd we are serving, we are more in need of desserts. Please have desserts here by 5:00pm. Thank you!

Announcements

Family Worship Service There will not be Family Worship Service tonight due to Mother’s Day. Enjoy time with the Mothers in your life. We will resume the normal evening Family Worship next Sunday.

Women’s Bible Study

On Tuesday evenings at 6:30pm, we will be going through a study called “Uninvited—Living Loved When You Feel Less Than, Left Out & Lonely” featuring Lysa TerKeurst. No book is required for this study. Bring your Bibles and

come join us as we learn together with Lysa, as she walks us through the Holy Land.

Men’s Bible Study On Tuesdays at 6:30pm, Chuck Thompson will be teaching through the Spiritual Disciplines of the Christian Life. You can still join in this study.

Adult Bible On Tuesdays at 6:30pm, Pastor Ben will continue his study from the book of Exodus. The group meets in the Choir Room, and anyone is welcome to join this study.

Missions: All Around Us

Indian Creek Baptist Camp Registration

Indian Creek Camp is located in Bedford, IN, and the camper’s season starts June 11th and goes through July 25th. Kids who are eligible to participate are from grades

Kindergarten—Seniors. Parents can go online and register their child(ren) at abcin.campmanagement.com/enroll. FBC will pay half of the camper’s registration fee. See Cheryl for questions.

Mission Trip 2017 The mission trip to Kairos Christian School in Guatemala is October 15-21. The team members are: Seth Catlin, Drake Catlin, Chase Catlin, Alice Cox, Kyra Cox, Mackenzie Cox, Jeff Hudson, Misty Hunt, Nora Leone, Giuseppe

Leone, Jaiden Lundy, Gary Walters, Patty Walters, Levi Whigham & Phil Whigham. Please be in prayer for the team as we prepare for the trip, and for those who we will be serving. Donations will be excepted throughout the next several months to help with trip costs and to purchase materials for the home construction, food baskets, and water purifying systems.

There will be a Rummage Sale on Saturday,

June 17th in the Ministry Center. Please be

thinking about, and starting to box up items to

place in the sale. All the money raised will go

towards assisting the Guatemala Team and their trip costs.

The camp is in need of donations: paper towels, dish soap, Frisbee’s, dodge balls, basketballs, soccer balls, brooms/dust pans, Zip-Loc bags. The camp would appreciate any of these donations as you bring your children to the camp.
