It’s also the Sunday we celebrate the confirmation of the 6 th grader youth, a major milestone in the life of faith. For several months now, our confirmands have been attending classes to get them ready to personally respond to Jesus’ call to live as a disciple. This year confirmands are Aubrey Young, Neela Metzger, Sarah Bandy, and Leslie Ochoa. We hope to see all of you at worship on Sunday to celebrate with them and their families as these young disciples have chosen to be confirmed profess their faith and are confirmed into the Christian faith and the United Methodist Church. RECRUITING FOR WEEKLY PT SPONSORS We seek your help! As a congregation working with Project Transformation, we are not only called to minister to the children and youth benefitting from the program but to the AmeriCorps members (formerly known as “Interns”) who are leading the program. Some of these college students are far away from home, their family, and their friends. Chapel Hill and the PT Connect team would like to minister to these students by having a weekly “sponsor” from the congregation to provide some sort of gift for the students at least once per week. This could be bringing them breakfast in the mornings before programming starts, writing notes of encouragement, baking cookies in the afternoon, or whatever you feel called to do! Programming will take place Monday-Thursday from 9:00am-3:00pm, from June 8th to July 27th (8 weeks).
Morning sponsors: The members will arrive at Chapel Hill around 8:00am-8:30am. If you will be providing your “gift” in the morning, this would be the best time to do so.
Afternoon sponsors: After all children are picked up (should be around 3:30-3:45 at the latest) the members will stay back, meet up, and clean. If you are planning to provide your “gift” in the afternoon, any time after the children are all picked up would be a great time to do so.

VASE RECYCLING
WHAT? Got a glass vase just hanging
around? Please join us in recycling flower
vases that may be cluttering your cabinets
or just hanging around wishing to hold a
flower arrangement once again!
We prefer clear glass ...all sizes work for us from bud vases on
up...
WHY? Chapel Hill will receive a credit for the wholesale value
of each vase and that credit is then applied to the cost of new
silk flower arrangements that will beautify our sanctuary on the
weeks when live altar flowers have not been ordered...
HOW? Bring your donated vase(s) to the church any time, and
place them in the bin marked “VASES”. This is an on-going
program so there is not an end-date. The vases will be picked
up weekly by our florist Gary and given a new purpose!
TELL? Everyone! Your neighbors, friends, family to donate their
unused vases! We can’t get too many! Then tell us your
thoughts on the new arrangements that you will soon see
