Theme 3 - Encouraging PSI re-use business

The ePSIplus objective for encouraging the PSI re-use business theme is to:

• Raise the awareness of and stimulate interest in the potential to create business from the re-use of PSI, among private sector companies, especially SMEs.

• Identify and clarify the specific barriers, which constrain the creation of a larger number of Pan-European or cross-border products and services based on PSI.

• Foster inter-sectoral learning and exchange of experience to enable greater understanding and awareness of the factors underlying greater re-use business success in some PSI sectors than in others and what lessons may be transferable between sectors.

• Develop the case and engage interest among sectoral European Associations and their national members, in the creation of an inter-sectoral Forum, Industry Action Group or overarching PSI Association with a specific focus on developing more powerful stimuli and support for the private sector to develop business based on PSI.

• Assess the need for more effective training, knowledge transfer and support mechanisms for entrepreneurs in support of PSI re-use.
