General Questions 1. What are your goals for Mawi’s presentations?

This is our annual student leadership conference for the state of New York. We want Mawi to help our students develop their leadership skills. We also want him to share his inspiring life story.

2. Please describe the audiences Mawi will address. Please include size, age, socio-economic background, and anything else that can help Mawi understand the audience’s background.

The audience will consist of over 1,000 high school students from across New York. Most of the students are sophomores or juniors. All students have expressed a desire in developing their leadership skills. Many of the students have already Mawi’s books The Code and The Success GPA.

3. What challenges might audience members experience on a daily basis, and how can Mawi best address their needs? Students are very busy and have to juggle school work and extra-curricula activities. Many students are worried about paying for college.

4. Is there anything else you want Mawi to know about the audiences or the sessions? The more we know about your goals, the better we can serve you. Yes – last year, our leadership students raised over $2500 students for refugees in East Africa. We hope Mawi can acknowledge them in his presentation.
