The number of birthdays has been split into two subcategories;boys’ birthdays and girls’ birthdays.
The table still shows the same
number of birthdays,
but the data has been split up to
give extra information.
We can draw a grouped bar chart to
show this data.
In a grouped bar chart, each category has more than one
bar!
A key or legend is used to identify the
subcategories of data.
Let’s Learn!Just like the first bar chart, a grouped bar chart has a horizontal and vertical axis which is marked with the categories and the number scale.

The bars are still the same width, with a gap between the categories.
Your Task Can you draw a bar chart of the table of data you have been given, Then
answer the questions. You can use a ruler to create your own bar chart if you cannot print this. You do not need to draw the grid lines but the axis is needed.
I feel confident, I am going to complete this independently
