Mathematics LEGO Flashcards Designed by CALLUM HOSKING for TA Resource Kit ITEMS REQUIRED: Laminated flashcards (pre-printed) LEGO Bricks LEGO bricks can be of any size and colour, however, it is recommended to keep the size of the blocks uniformed to prevent confusion with younger students. In the illustrated examples, I used 4x2 LEGO blocks in colours of RED, GREEN, YELLOW, GREY, BLACK and BROWN. AIM OF RESOUCRE: The resource is aimed to provide students with fun and engaging stimuli (in the form of LEGO blocks) in order to explore and solve basic mathematical equations. The flashcards are designed to provide students with the resources to engage in explorative play around mathematics, using the fun and engaging stimuli as a scaffolding tool to reach their answers (either directed or autonomously). This resource also encourages autonomous and self-paced learning. This provides the lower aged primary school students an opportunity to guide their own learning. It can also come in handy if a group of students are lagging behind or are ahead of the class, and a second activity is required for these group of students.
