CCORPUS CHRISTI
Through the Eucharist, Jesus gives us the
strength we need on our journey through
life to Heaven.
Today we celebrate the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ and honor Jesus as the Bread of Life. Just as God led Moses and the Israel-ites out of Egypt and through 40 years of hard-ship and danger in the desert, so Jesus gives us the strength we need as we follow Him through the spiritual dangers of this life.

RRESTRICTED (YELLOW) PHASE FOR RE-OPENING DUE TO COVID 19 BEGAN FOR US LAST WEEKEND
The beginning of the Restricted (Yellow) Phase with Covid 19 has been announced by the Archbishop. This phase, which includes Mass participation, began for us at 4:30 PM Mass on Saturday, June 6. We at Maternity B.V.M. Parish are very happy to welcome you back! Together we keep our eyes fixed on Je-sus as we all return in person to the celebration of Holy Mass. We will do our part to make sure this re-turn to Mass is a peaceful and safe experience for everyone. Please take time to read the instructions be-low. We ask everyone to follow these guidelines when attending Mass during this period.
GENERAL POINTS The obligation to attend Mass on Sundays and holy days of obligation continues to be lifted during this Yellow
Phase. Please stay home if you are sick. Please stay home if you are at higher risk of severe illness with COVID 19. If you are uncertain about your risk
status, please consult your doctor and also the CDC Guidelines at the link below. Click here to read the CDC Guidelines for those at higher risk: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/need-
extra-precautions/people-at-higher-risk.html.
MASS SCHEDULES For weekends, our Mass Schedule is the following: Saturday Vigil, 4:30 PM; Sunday at 8, 9:30, 11 AM and
12:30 PM. The 7 PM Mass is suspended for the summer and will hopefully return after Labor Day. Our 8 AM Sunday Mass will be available via live-stream on Facebook at maternitybvmphilly and on our Parish
Web Site, maternitybvmchurch.net. Our Weekday Masses, Monday through Friday, are at 6:30 and 8 AM, and at 8 AM on Saturday. Weekday & Saturday AM Masses are celebrated in the Lower Church; Vigil and Sunday Masses, Upper Church. Confessions are celebrated each Saturday, 3 to 4 PM in the Lower Chapel.
BEFORE COMING TO MASS Please wash your hands for 20 seconds using soap and water. Before entering our Church, and better yet, before leaving your mode of transportation to get to church,
please put on a face mask or cloth covering. Exceptions to this are “…children younger than 2 years old, anyone who has trouble breathing or is unconscious, and anyone who is incapacitated or otherwise unable to remove the cloth face covering without assistance” (CDC Guidelines).
Please do not come to Mass if you are sick or are at higher risk for severe illness with COVID 19 (See above). Hymnals and missalettes are not in the pews during this period. You are welcome to bring your own missal/
readings.
ENTERING THE CHURCH Weekend Masses will be celebrated in the Upper Church. The doors to the Main Entrance and at the Lower
Chapel will be open. The Middle Entrances will not be open but will be able to be used in case of an emergency.
Hand sanitizers are available at the opened Church entrances/exits indicated above. If you do not have a personal hand sanitizer, you may use those upon entering and exiting the Church.
Parish Bulletins are at the exits indicated above. Ushers are not to hand out Bulletins.
SEATING When taking your seat, please honor all indicators about where you may sit. Every other pew will be open to
ensure proper social distancing. We ask that after you genuflect or bow to the Blessed Sacrament that you enter the pew and be seated. Throughout the Mass we will either stand or sit. This has to do with sanitizing issues and will be explained fully in person.
Members of the same household may sit together as normal. Please keep 6 feet between your household and members of a different household.
Sacristans present will assist people with seating.

DURING MASS All hymnals/missalettes have been removed. One Collection will be taken up during the Offertory. Please place all offerings in this Collection There will be no Sign of Peace during Mass during this Yellow Phase. The Precious Blood will not be distributed at Mass during the Yellow Phase. There should be no holding of hands during the Our Father.
RECEPTION OF HOLY COMMUNION Communion Stations remain the same, with front and middle center stations moved further for proper distancing. Please maintain social distancing in the Communion line. Keep at least three to four pews between yourself and
the person in front of you while in line and when returning to your pew. During this Yellow Phase, the faithful are asked to receive Holy Communion in the hand. Please remove your mask before receiving Holy Communion. More specifics when we see you.
EXITING THE CHURCH At the end of Mass, please exit the Church and proceed directly to your car. Please do not congregate for any reason. Please take a Parish Bulletin home with you. Bulletins may be found on a center table in the Main Rear Exit and
also on the tables at the two Front Exits. Bulletins will not be distributed by ushers at this time. Please leave your mask on until you exit the Church.
OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU Our Parish Family is following the guidelines from the CDC for sanitation as we resume public Masses. The Church will be sanitized after each Mass. This includes pews, bathroom and common areas. All doors to enter and exit will be left open at all times in order to protect our parishioners.
To view the CDC guidelines, visit: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/php/faith-based.html.
Thank you so much for your patience and cooperation as we cautiously follow all medical and governmental regulations, and at the same time worship together prayerfully and respectfully,
as we all truly desire to do. God bless and keep safe you and all your loved ones!
